半导体厂也失去了他们原本的作用，接不到订单，每天巨额的运营开支，让厂里管理人员只能把半导体厂关停，遣散了大部分员工。李四一作为厂里资深设备工程师，也列入了下岗名单里面，设备不运行，直接简单地按下了关机键，也就没设备工程师什么事了。
李四一拿了公司给的离职补偿，离开了公司，开始步入失业大军的行列。行业不景气，李四一听说很多半导体厂都相继关停了，有的就留了一个保安在拿看大门。
失业总得搞点什么事做吧，不然那不得活活饿死，李四一决定开始拿起蛇皮袋，和大妈大叔一起走上街头捡废品卖。可这一行，竞争也挺激烈的，李四一已经看到过好几个厂里的一同下岗的年轻人一起在街上捡废品了，他们相视一笑，互相交换了自己蛇皮袋里面的废品，有铜线，有铁丝，也有易拉罐。
就这样捡了一段时间的垃圾，李四一走到曾经工作的半导体厂附近，发现竟然贴出了招聘广告，不过公司名字已经由XX集成电路制造厂，变成了XX半导体体验乐园。
原来有一家公司把厂子收购了了，改造成半导体游乐园，招聘乐园设备维护工人若干名，李四一赶紧前去报名了，面试也挺快的，面试官让李四一进厂把一台设备电开起来完成初始化就直接录取了。工资的话3500一个月，李四一想着终于不用捡废品了，每个月刨去开销还能剩一些。
李四一就这样入职了体验乐园，来乐园的消费的人肯定和李四一不是一个阶层的，他们没受过苦，想体验一下打螺丝的乐趣，李四一为游客讲解设备的构造，亲自带领游客一步步体验打螺丝的乐趣，打完螺丝在食堂来一份大排饭，李四一的工作基本上就结束了。
李四一有时候也会遇上一些好学的客人，想体验更换大零件，一个更换过程就得24小时，李四一也不得不加班陪着他们拧螺丝，李四一这一刻仿佛回到了那个半导体兴盛的时代，在拿着值班电话，穿着无尘服，在嘈杂的无尘室里面流着汗水。
游客的叫声打断了李四一，说想坐一下OHT小车，游览一下整个fab，是的OHT也由搬运Foup和reticle变成了fab观光车，李四一调了一辆OHT过来，之间OHT往下一放，抓住游客带的安全头盔，就往上提。
李四一朝着游客喊了一声，祝你观光愉快，OHT便带着游客飞速在整个半导体厂运转。
也有的游客有洁癖，李四一便带他们体验擦机台的项目，他们拿着紫光灯照着机台内部，把每个角落擦得完全一点灰尘都没有才罢休。
