A SPG delegation led by Chairman Huo Gaoyuan went to Brazil and Peru from Nov 10 to 17, the first time for the company to officially visit South America since its foundation. During the visit, the delegation attended major events, held a business promotion conference, unveiled an overseas office, visited customers and partners, and signed cooperation agreements with relevant parties, thus securing fruitful results.
SPG on Nov 21 inked a framework agreement on deepening comprehensive collaboration with Huawei in Qingdao. As per the agreement, the two sides will follow the principles of advantage complementarity, resource sharing and common development to carry out across-the-board cooperation in 5G, cloud computing, big data, AI, IoT and RCS. The aim is to work together to promote smart port development, explore comprehensive solutions to digital transformation of port and create an example for the port industry.
A China Railway special cargo train carrying 270 vehicles recently arrived at Zhifuwan port area of Yantai Port, from where the goods will be sent onward to Europe by ship. This has brought the total number of vehicles handled via railway at Yantai Port to over 30,000 units for 2024, up 868 percent from a year earlier, a milestone in the port's efforts to advance sea-rail combined transportation for vehicles.
Named GAS HUANGHE, a very large ethane carrier (VLEC) with the world's largest capacity of 99,000 cubic meters made its maiden berthing at Yantai Port. The unloaded propane imports will be sent directly to a port-neighboring industrial park via pipeline. This marked a further capacity expansion in the port's multimodal energy transport system.
