A Chinese woman recently shared a 58-page PowerPoint file online, exposing her boyfriend’s infidelity with over 300 women, which quickly became a viral sensation on the Chinese social media platform Weibo. By September 19, the post had garnered over 400 million views.
The woman, who began dating the man, identified by the surname Shi, in October last year, described him as a “gentleman” initially. However, in June, she uncovered sexually explicit messages between him and various women on chat apps. Shocked by the discovery, she documented Shi's encounters with over 300 women, including sex workers, during their relationship. The detailed PowerPoint presented evidence of his visits to prostitutes, which he paid between 2,500 to 5,000 yuan for, from March to August.
Despite Shi's pleas for forgiveness after she confronted him in June, the woman decided to expose him online in September after learning that he had continued cheating. Shi, a recent graduate of Xiamen University and a management trainee at China Merchants Bank in Shenzhen, lost his job following the scandal.
The woman's public revenge has ignited widespread discussion on social media. Some applauded her for holding Shi accountable, while others questioned his ability to balance such behavior with his professional commitments. The case also raised legal concerns, with experts noting that the woman’s public accusation could infringe on Shi's privacy.
