在第三十届北京国际图书博览会上,意大利展团以其独特的文化魅力和丰富的出版物,成为展会的一大亮点。在意大利驻华大使安博思阁下的见证下,意大利对外贸易委员会北京办事处首席代表暨中国区以及蒙古国总协调官 Francesco Pensabene 彭飒彬先生主持了意大利展厅的开幕仪式,并邀请多位重要嘉宾发表讲话。
彭飒彬先生首先致欢迎辞,感谢中意双方的合作,并特别感谢意大利出版商协会和中国图书进出口(集团)有限公司的支持与组织。他提到,这次展览不仅是中意出版文化交流的重要平台,也是展示意大利出版物和文化的重要机会。
意大利驻华大使安博思 Massimo Ambrosetti 阁下在讲话中表示,中意两国都是拥有千年文明的古国,书籍在两国文明中都占据着重要地位。2024年是马可波罗逝世700周年,他的著作《马可波罗游记》象征着东西方文明的首次交汇。安博思大使指出,书籍不仅是知识的载体,更是文明交流的重要桥梁。今年也是中意全面战略合作伙伴关系签订20周年,他希望通过此次博览会,进一步推动意大利书籍在中国的出版,同时也促进更多中国书籍在意大利出版,以加强中意两国的文化交流与合作。
商务部外贸发展事务局副局长邓波先生在发言中表示,北京国际图书博览会是一个具有国际影响力的平台,汇聚了众多国际和国内出版商及文化机构。他特别提到,意大利馆今年展示了8家优秀的意大利出版公司,展台面积相较去年显著扩大,展示了意大利出版文化的丰富性和多样性,同时也促进了中意出版商贸和文化交流。邓波先生高度评价了意大利作为欧洲重要文化中心的地位,并表示希望双方能够以此次博览会为契机,进一步挖掘潜力,促进中意文化交流与合作。
中国出版集团有限公司董事长黄志坚先生在致辞中对意大利馆的开馆表示热烈祝贺,并回顾了中意两国在出版领域的长期合作历史。他提到,早在1936年,中国出版集团的商务印书馆就出版了《马可波罗行记》的中译本,这本书是中国最早的权威中译本之一。近年来,中国出版集团与意大利许多出版机构合作,通过互相翻译和推广,推动两国优秀文化产品的交流。黄志坚先生表示,希望通过此次博览会,进一步加强与意大利出版界的合作,共同推动中意文化出版交流。

北京国际图书博览会(BIBF)创办于1986年,由国家新闻出版署等部委主办,中国图书进出口(集团)有限公司承办,已成为国际第二大书展,是我国目前最具国际影响力的书展平台,也是亚洲国际化程度最高的书展。
北京国际图书博览会已经吸引了来自世界110多个国家和地区的2500余家海内外展商参展,致力于中外出版物及数字多媒体出版物的版权交易、实物进出口贸易与阅读推广,已成为涵盖图书、数字、动漫等行业的大型国际出版交流盛会。

At the 30th Beijing International Book Fair, the Italian pavilion stood out with its unique cultural charm and rich publications, becoming a highlight of the event. The opening ceremony of the Italian pavilion was held in the presence of H.E. Massimo Ambrosetti, the Italian Ambassador to China, hosted by Mr. Francesco Pensabene, Chief Representative of the Beijing Office of the Italian Trade Agency and General Coordinator for China and Mongolia. He invited several distinguished guests to deliver speeches.
Mr. Pensabene first delivered a welcome speech, expressing gratitude for the cooperation between China and Italy and particularly thanking the Italian Publishers Association and China National Publications Import & Export (Group) Corporation for their support and organization. He mentioned that this exhibition is not only an important platform for Sino-Italian publishing and cultural exchange but also a significant opportunity to showcase Italian publications and culture.
In his speech, His Excellency Massimo Ambrosetti, the Italian Ambassador to China, remarked that both China and Italy are ancient civilizations with millennia of history, where books play an important role. The year 2024 marks the 700th anniversary of Marco Polo's death, and his book "The Travels of Marco Polo" symbolizes the first meeting of Eastern and Western civilizations. Ambassador Ambrosetti pointed out that books are not only carriers of knowledge but also crucial bridges for cultural exchange. This year also marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Italy. He hopes that through this fair, the publication of Italian books in China will be further promoted, and more Chinese books will be published in Italy, enhancing cultural exchange and cooperation between the two countries.
Mr. Deng Bo, Deputy Director of the Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce, stated in his speech that the Beijing International Book Fair is a platform of international influence, bringing together numerous international and domestic publishers and cultural institutions. He particularly mentioned that the Italian pavilion showcased eight outstanding Italian publishing companies this year, with the exhibition area significantly expanded compared to last year. This demonstrated the richness and diversity of Italian publishing culture while promoting Sino-Italian publishing trade and cultural exchange. Mr. Deng highly praised Italy's position as an important cultural center in Europe and expressed hope that both sides could leverage this fair to further explore potential and promote cultural exchange and cooperation between China and Italy.
Mr. Huang Zhijian, Chairman of China Publishing Group Corporation, congratulated the opening of the Italian pavilion in his speech and reviewed the long history of cooperation between China and Italy in the publishing field. He noted that as early as 1936, the Commercial Press, a subsidiary of China Publishing Group, published the Chinese translation of "The Travels of Marco Polo," one of the earliest authoritative Chinese translations. In recent years, China Publishing Group has collaborated with many Italian publishing institutions, promoting the exchange of excellent cultural products between the two countries through mutual translation and promotion. Mr. Huang expressed the hope to further strengthen cooperation with the Italian publishing industry through this fair and jointly promote Sino-Italian cultural publishing exchange.

These publishers covered a wide range of genres, from classic literature to children's publications, fully showcasing the diversity and profound heritage of the Italian publishing industry.
In an interview, Mr. Pensabene mentioned that the Chinese market is very important and strategically significant for the Italian publishing industry. He pointed out that the output value of the Italian publishing industry is about 4 billion euros, and although this data is not the latest, it still shows the industry's important position in Italy's cultural sector. To enhance competitiveness, Italian publishers will promote through digital platforms and e-commerce channels to expand their influence and market share.

Beijing International Book Fair (BIBF) was founded in 1986, hosted by China National Publications Import and Export (Group) Co.,Ltd. It has become the second largest book fair in the world, the most influential book exhibition platform in China and the most international book fair in Asia.
