Advanced Vehicle-to-Grid Integration for Enhanced Urban Transportation and Power Systems

The rapid urbanization and increasing demand for sustainable energy solutions necessitate innovative approaches to integrating electric vehicles (EVs) into the urban infrastructure. Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology presents a promising solution by enabling bidirectional energy flow between EVs and the power grid. This panel session will delve into the transformative potential of V2G integration within urban transportation networks and distribution power systems, highlighting its role in enhancing grid stability, reducing peak load demand, and optimizing energy utilization. 

V2G technology facilitates the use of EVs as mobile energy storage units, providing ancillary services to the grid such as frequency regulation, voltage support, and load balancing. By aggregating the storage capacity of numerous EVs, urban areas can achieve great er flexibility and resilience in their energy systems.

This session will explore the technical challenges, policy frameworks, and economic models necessary to scale V2G solutions effectively. Experts from academia, industry, and government will discuss recent advancements, pilot projects, and the future outlook of V2G technology in creating smarter, more sustainable urban environments. Attendees will gain insights into the synergies between V2G integration and urban planning, paving the way for a harmonious coexis tence of transportation and energy networks in modern cities.
