维尔纳·巴特纳,1954生于德国耶拿(Jena,Germany),现于德国盖斯特哈赫特(Geesthacht)生活工作。巴特纳早年历经东西德冷战,有监狱社会工作者和法律援助的工作经历,他的作品从日常的生活缩影中汲取更深层的含义。巴特纳对动荡的大环境之下,人类不同阶层的境遇有着独特的体察与解读。艺术家的布面油画和拼贴画作品都描绘了悲剧性的现实,用幽默和讽刺来对抗社会规范的同时,又牢牢把握着绘画史的脉搏。
维尔纳·巴特纳与马丁·基彭伯格(Martin Kippenberger,1953-1997)和阿尔伯特·奥伦(Albert Oehlen,b.1954)一起作为“坏画(Bad Painting)”的组织成员,曾在1970年代后期成为德国汉堡的话题人物。
Werner Büttner was born in Jena, Germany in 1954, currently lives and works in Geesthacht, Germany. In his early years, Werner Büttner went through the East-West German Cold War. With experience as a prison social worker and legal aid provider, Büttner is renowned for drawing out deeper layers of meaning from quotidian life that at first glance seem banal. He has a unique ability to observe and interpret the experiences of different social strata of humanity amidst turbulent overarching circumstances. His canvases and collages depict a tragi-comic reality, confronting social norms with both irony and satire, while retaining a firm grip on the history of painting.

徐渠,1978 年生于中国江苏 ,2008年获得布伦瑞克艺术大学艺术与电影专业硕士学位,现生活工作于中国北京。
Xu Qu was born in 1978 in Jiangsu, China. Xu Qu graduated with a MFA in Fine Arts and Film at Braunschweig University of Art, Germany in 2008. The artist is currently lives and works in Beijing.
Xu Qu conveys his attitude towards society and his understanding of the world through artistic practice. He focuses on exploring the interconnections among social systems in different dimensions and fields. Starting from a profound insight into social reality, Xu Qu uncovers the subtle aspects within his field of vision, revealing the macro through a grasp of the micro. He navigates through various value systems and aesthetic experiences, extending his reflections on the interplay of social systems. Guided by his pursuit of concise and clear presentation, Xu Qu employs diverse media to address different topics, resulting in a multidimensional artistic practice that encompasses painting, performance, video, installation, and sculpture.
