Job Summary
The World Resources Institute Beijing Representative Office is looking for a highly self-motivated student to be research intern supporting policy research and analysis in WRI’s Sustainable Investment and Finance team.
As a research intern, you will help provide research, data analysis, modeling, and outreach support to the Sustainable Investment and Finance team in China and Global offices. The intern will support several interdisciplinary research projects on topics such as transition finance, climate disclosure, supply chain finance, taxonomy, just transition, etc. The term will be at least six months, with a minimum of 3 days per week.
Responsibilities
1. Research & Analysis (60%)
Conduct literature reviews of academic papers
Conduct policy review and research on sustainable finance policies, existing patterns, and analytical methodologies
Conduct data collection, data cleaning and processing
Support other research activities per request
2. Translation and other administrative affairs (40%)
Assist in the project communication (press releases and blogs) per request
Provide administrative support per the request
Qualifications
Enrolled undergraduate or graduate student towards a degree in Finance, Economics, Public policy, Environment, or related majors
Experiences in sustainable finance is a must
Response to request in a timely manner
Be available for at least six months, with a minimum of 3 days per week
Flexibility to work in WRI’s Beijing office or remotely (on-site preferred)
