Job Summary
The World Resources Institute (USA) Beijing Representative Office is looking for a highly self-motivated student to serve as a research intern for projects on just transition within WRI's Sustainable Transition Center.
As a research intern, you will assist in research, data collection, analysis, and provide administrative support to the Sustainable Transition Center in China. The intern will contribute to several interdisciplinary and multi-group research projects on low-carbon and sustainable development, both in China and internationally.
The internship requires a commitment of at least three months, with a minimum of three days per week, ideally starting as soon as possible. Remote work is acceptable.
Responsibilities
1. Research (70%)
Conduct in-depth research on policies, programs, and initiatives related to just transition, climate resilience, and adaptation.
Perform comprehensive literature reviews of academic papers.
Support additional research activities as required.
2. Translation and Administrative Affairs (30%)
Assist with project communications (e.g., press releases and blogs) as requested.
Provide administrative support as needed.
Qualifications
Enrolled undergraduate (at least a Junior) or graduate student pursuing a degree in Urban Studies, Public Policy, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Fluent in both written and spoken English.
Available for a minimum of three months, with at least three days of availability per week.
