The Evolution of Qingshuitang

Republican Era

Qingshuitang gradually became an important industrial zone in Hunan Province and surrounding areas.

Early PRC

Under the "First and Second Five-Year Plans," Qingshuitang became the cradle of the Republic’s industry.

1960s-1990s

The area housed numerous large enterprises and listed companies, contributing 30% of Zhuzhou’s industrial output.

Late 1990s

Environmental concerns heightened as pollution worsened, leading to increased attention to ecological issues.

21st Century

Traditional industries in Zhuzhou began transitioning, with some older factories closing or relocating, leading to a period of silence—until now, as it prepares for an industrial cultural tourism renaissance.
