Can you introduce IPWS to us?
IPWS (International Professional Women's Society) is a dynamic community that connects, empowers, and inspires women in Shanghai and beyond. Founded in 1993 by a group of 13 visionary professional women, IPWS has empowered and supported women for over 30 years. We create a platform for networking, professional development and personal empowerment through a range of events, workshops, and mentorship programs. Our members come from diverse backgrounds, industries, and cultures, all united by a commitment to support each other and advance women's leadership.
How often do you meet?
We host a variety of events throughout the year, including monthly networking events, professional development workshops, and special gatherings such as our annual Women Leadership Awards. There's always something happening, so our members have tons of opportunities to connect and engage.

Do you have any upcoming events?
Kicking off the 2024-2025 season, we have several exciting events lined up starting late September. Our next really big event is one of the most important events of the year, the 2024 Women Leadership Awards, which is now in its 17th year. A celebration that honors our outstanding female leaders in the community.
AND ... We've just started the nomination process, so it's the perfect time to recognize women who have inspired you and made a significant impact in their field and the community around them! By acknowledging these leaders, we not only celebrate their achievements but also inspire others to strive for excellence. In addition to the Awards, we also have a series of workshops and networking events planned for the coming months.
