A shocking incident at a kindergarten in Tianjin, has sparked outrage after a teacher allegedly encouraged her students to hit a boy in the class. The incident, which took place on November 5 at a kindergarten in the Xiqing District of the city, was shared online by a concerned parent. The teacher reportedly harbored a personal bias against the child, leading her to incite other children to line up and slap him.
According to the video shared by a netizen, the teacher could be seen prompting the class to strike the boy in a disturbing show of violence. The footage quickly went viral, drawing immediate attention and backlash from viewers, who condemned the teacher’s actions as both cruel and inappropriate for an educator.
The kindergarten management responded swiftly to the incident, confirming the occurrence and revealing that the teacher had been dismissed the following day. In a statement, the school assured that they were taking steps to address the situation, offering psychological counseling for the boy and proposing financial compensation to the family, including waiving all future tuition fees.
The kindergarten also addressed the context behind the incident, stating that the boy had previously assaulted two children with special needs. One of the victims was non-verbal, and the other had a cochlear implant, which was reportedly damaged in the altercation. The parents of the two special needs children have also reportedly approached the school seeking action.
The news has sparked a flood of reactions from netizens, with many expressing disbelief and anger over the teacher’s actions. “How could a teacher act like this? Teachers should be the ones protecting children, not encouraging violence,” one user commented. Others echoed this sentiment, emphasizing that schools must create a safe and supportive environment for all children, regardless of their abilities or behavior.
However, some netizens have raised questions about the boy’s previous actions. “What about the child who was violent toward others? Shouldn’t there be more focus on addressing that?” one comment read. Despite this, the majority of comments have focused on condemning the teacher’s behavior and calling for better oversight of staff in schools.
