On November 13, after approval by the Supreme People's Court, the perpetrators Guo, Shang, and Gong were executed according to law for the crime of raping minors.
Guo was a teacher at a private primary school. From 2013 to 2019, Guo, in his capacity as a teacher and class teacher, raped six female students over 100 times. The victims were all under 14 years old when first raped. Guo also molested another three girls under the age of 12 multiple times.
Shang was a migrant worker. From 2011 to 2020, Shang selected and lured young girls in public places like parks, squares, buses, and kindergartens. He then took them to secluded areas and sexually assaulted them, raping and molesting 5 young girls and molesting 3 others. During this period, Shang also recorded videos and photos of the abuse and used them to blackmail and continuously rape 4 of the victims, causing one victim to develop severe depression and anxiety, leading to multiple failed suicide attempts.
Gong was a farmer. Gong took advantage of Zhang (a female alias), a girl from the same village who frequently visited his small store, using deception and coercion to exercise long-term mental control over her. Alone or with accomplices, he sexually assaulted her, starting when she was under 12 years old in the summer of 2015 until the case was exposed in January 2020. During this period, he raped her 8 times individually, gang-raped her 2 times, and molested her over 40 times. Unable to endure the abuse, the 16-year-old victim later committed suicide by cutting her wrists and ingesting pesticides.
These heinous crimes against minors have outraged the public. Netizens expressed strong condemnation, calling for the harshest punishments and demanding better protection for children.
"The death penalty is the only fitting punishment for these monsters who violated innocent children. I hope they suffer in their final moments just as their victims did," commented one enraged netizen.
Another netizen wrote, "How could these so-called 'adults' do such horrible things to vulnerable kids? They deserve to be erased from this world. The government must crack down hard on child predators and ensure our children's safety."
