Dana White, the 55-year-old CEO of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), recently revealed that he learned to play baccarat from Chinese players during frequent visits to Las Vegas casinos.

In an episode of the podcast “2 Bears, 1 Cave with Tom Segura and Bert Kreischer,” White shared how his journey with the game began in the high-limit room at Caesars Palace. There, he noticed the baccarat section predominantly occupied by Chinese and other Asian players. Many of them, he said, could play all night and still be at the tables until 10 a.m. the following day.

“I learned how to play baccarat from them — from the Chinese. Those are all my people now down at Caesars Palace,” White stated during the interview. He also praised the skills of Chinese women in the game, claiming that they often outshine the men. “The women are even better than the men because they have more patience,” he remarked.

White’s fascination with baccarat led him to dedicate three months to learning the intricacies of the comparing card game from his newfound Chinese friends. After gaining a solid understanding of the rules and strategies, he began playing seriously in January 2024.
