Skibniewski，教授，马里兰大学Marija Todorović, 教授，贝尔格莱德大学According to Gartner's forecast, by 2030, 80% of project management work will be taken over by artificial intelligence (AI). Currently, most project managers rely on traditional tools such as spreadsheets, Gantt charts, and manual reports, which are clearly inadequate for managing large and complex projects. The low performance of these conventional methods has driven the growing adoption of AI in project management. As AI implementation accelerates, it will trigger a systematic transformation in the field, presaging a new paradigm of project management in the AI era. This revolution will fundamentally impact the skill requirements and roles of project managers, the decision-making process, project planning, problem diagnosis, risk control, learning models, team and collaboration methods, knowledge assistance, ethics, governance and supervision, etc. From April 19 to 21, 2024, the 12th International Project Management Association (IPMA) Research Conference was held in Maryland, USA, with the theme "Project Management in the Age of Artificial Intelligence". Participants engaged in extensive discussions on AI empowerment, large language models, machine learning, generative AI, sustainability, and governance. To facilitate a more systematic and in-depth exploration of these advanced research topics, FEM and IPMA have jointly launched this special issue.根据 Gartner 预测，到 2030 年，80%的项目管理工作将由人工智能完成。目前项目管理人员大多依赖传统电子表格、甘特图、手工报告等方式开展工作，这对于大型复杂项目来说，显然不足。项目管理的低绩效成为 AI 应用的重要动力。而AI的加速应用也将进一步引发项目管理的系统性变革，推动项目管理进入新的范式阶段。项目管理人员能力要求、项目经理职能、决策过程、项目计划、问题诊断、风险控制、学习模型、团队与协同方式、知识辅助、道德以及治理与监管等等都会出现根本性革命。2024 年 4 月 19-21 日， 第 12 届国际项目管理学会（IPMA）研究大会在美国马里兰召开，大会主题为“Project Management in the Age of Artificial Intelligence（人工智能时代下的项目管理）”。与会者聚焦这一主题，在AI 赋能、大语言模型、机器学习、生成式人工智能、可持续性与治理等方面进行了广泛交流。为了更好地对这一前沿研究问题进行系统和深刻地讨论，FEM 与 IPMA 合作发起了这一主题专刊。Call for Papers (including but not limited to the following topics)

The types of submissions include regular papers and comments. For details, please refer to previously published papers in the journal.征稿论文类型包括常规论文和观点论文，具体可参考期刊已经发表相关文章。Please submit your manuscript to the journal submission system https://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/fem. All manuscripts will be reviewed in strict accordance with international practices and journal review procedures.
