On Nov. 5, the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) opened in Shanghai. A Hainan trade delegation attended the event, taking advantage of the CIIE to promote the Hainan Free Trade Port (FTP) and carry out related activities.

The Hainan trade delegation includes representatives of Hainan government departments, key industrial parks, companies, institutions, business associations, and other organizations with purchasing needs, with a total of over 1,000 delegates from over 320 organizations in attendance.
The Hainan trade delegation participated in the CIIE opening ceremony as well as visiting key exhibitors including Pfizer, Gilead, Novartis, Marriott International, Kering, Estée Lauder, L'Oréal, Swire, Tapestry, and China COSCO Shipping in order to enhance project cooperation, and also invited companies to participate in the 5th China International Consumer Products Expo scheduled to be held in Hainan next year.
During this year's CIIE, the Hainan Pavilion, which features an international reception hall, a vacation destination area, and a cultural area, brought in a large number of domestic and international exhibitors and company representatives to discuss and negotiate cooperation agreements. On the opening day of the Expo, Germany's Siemens Energy, Shenergy Group, the CHN Energy Hainan Company, and Datang Hainan Energy Development Co., Ltd. held a cooperation agreement signing ceremony in the Hainan Pavilion, jointly promoting the production of green energy from Hainan's offshore wind power installations and green energy industry.
In addition, activities such as the Hainan Free Trade Port Key Project (Shanghai) Investment Promotion Conference and the Sanya New Quality Productive Forces Development Exchange Conference & Science and Technology Achievement Transformation Conference will be held during the CIIE (which will last through Nov. 10).
