Communications and Knowledge Management Officer
The Communications and Knowledge Management Officer (CO) is responsible for the overall corporate communications and knowledge management at ICLEI East Asia. The CO reports to the Strategy Manager.
Main Responsibilities
Lead ICLEI East Asia’s general external communications and brandings works, including managing the bilingual website, publications, reports, social media accounts, newsletter and other promotional materials etc. Work closely with the Communications Teams at the ICLEI World Secretariat and country offices in the East Asia region, and make joint efforts to promote regional and global advocacy. Contribute to project deliverables in both ICLEI East Asia and the Beijing Office by providing guidance and support on external communications and branding. Work closely with program teams on knowledge management of various program products and outcomes, and contribute to content localization of program activities.
Having lived in one or more East Asian countries for a minimum of six years.
Education: have a degree in communications, journalism, marketing, urban planning, environment, political sciences, international relations, or another subject relevant to the position.
Experience: a minimum of two years of related working experience in communications; working experience with international (inter-governmental) organizations and / with local governments is preferred.
Have demonstrable skills in coordinating and presenting contents at different topics in an audience-friendly way is strongly desired. Passion for sustainable development-related topics is an asset.
Have solid skills of CMS (preferably WordPress), design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.); Experience of WeChat account management is an asset.
Languages: have an excellent speaking and writing command of English and Chinese Mandarin.
Initiative: self-motivated, be able to work independently with minor supervision and under pressure; ability to propose and develop new initiatives with innovative thinking.
The position is available immediately at the ICLEI East Asia Secretariat in Seoul, South Korea.
International travel will be required; communication with partners around the world may require work during unusual hours.
Working languages: English and Chinese Mandarin.
Applicants must be eligible to obtain the appropriate work permit for the Republic of Korea prior to the commencement of work.

20 days paid annual leave and additional paid sick leave will be given.
