QIN Ai
Qin Ai was born in 1973 in Nantong, a small coastal city, which was also the hometown of the industrialist Zhang Jian and the artist Zao Wou-Ki. Perhaps by fate, her father was a traditional scholar, immersed in poetry and literature all his life, while her mother graduated from Nanjing University with a major in Spanish. It seems that Qin Ai's genes naturally contained a blend of tradition and modernity, East and West.In 1992, Qin Ai attended the Nanjing University of the Arts, majoring in traditional Chinese painting. During her university years, she was exposed to a lot of Western contemporary art and was deeply attracted to Western artistic expressions. After graduating, Qin Ai continued to live in Nanjing. Unlike the bustling cities of Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, Nanjing's somewhat solemn and melancholic atmosphere allowed her to ponder and perceive her surroundings at a measured pace.
Qin Ai's delicate sensitivity and the complex intricacies of her work benefit from her early training in meticulous brushwork, while her painting itself transcends traditional ink compositions and techniques. For her, ink painting is merely a means to carefully construct a stage, a style of narration. Through her images, viewers are given a glimpse into her intimate emotions and fleeting moments.

Ren Zhe does not only focus on the specific form of the sculptures, but also on the spirit that is cast within the drama of the sculptures stillness. His works, though contemporary. are deeply rooted in traditional Chinese art form, where elements from Chinese calligraphy and literati paintings can be found. His works focus on the flow and the energy in their totality, and such abstract notions are personified by the concrete sculptures made in bronze or stainless steel, which express Ren Zhe's philosophy in art and in life. His works represent an all encompassing positivity, which from Ren Zhe's vantage point could only be achieved from within, starting with one's self. There is a warrior within us, one which conquers, rather than is conquered by, the world.

Gehard Demetz, born in 1972 in Bolzano, Italy, graduated from the Bolzano Academy of Arts in 1995. With his solid background in art school, he inherited the spirit of traditional wood carving from Selva di Val Gardena, Italy, and applied his exquisite techniques to contemporary wood carving to build his own unique style and elements, which has become internationally renowned in just a few years. Gerhard Demetz Through his constant observation, he transforms his anxieties and worries into a piece of wood, which is then reconstructed and sculpted into a scene, allowing the viewer to immerse himself into his world of creation and a direct dialogue with the sculpture. The viewer is immersed in the world of his creations and in direct dialogue with the sculptures. Gerhard cuts the wood into pieces of different sizes, polishes them repeatedly, and assembles them into a basic structure, keeping small gaps like air holes in the wood pieces, just like architectural structures, adding to the difficulty and uniqueness of wood sculpture. This special structural technique makes him unique in the field of contemporary wood carving, which is one of the reasons why his works have attracted so much attention in the art world.

GUO Hui
Guo Hui, as an artist in the field of ink painting, not only carries on the tradition but also showcases the modern transformation and unique charm of ink art through his works. His pieces reflect the "lightness," "antiquity," and "poetic nature" of ink painting, elements that together forge his distinctive artistic style and aesthetic pursuit. The foundational colors in Guo Hui’s world are manifested not only in the palette and brushstrokes of his paintings but also in the emotional expressions and philosophical reflections in the finer details. This aesthetic state demands that when interpreting his works, we must not merely skim the surface as traditional art criticism might, but instead delve into the inner world of the artworks, seeking out the emotions and messages hidden in the details.

LEI Xiao-Han
This post-90s artist was deeply influenced by anime culture in her childhood, yet her studies in the Sculpture Department at Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts, located in the historic capital of the Zhou, Qin, Han, and Tang dynasties, deeply immersed her in the cultural and artistic heritage of the ancient city. During her five years on campus, Lei Xiaohan enjoyed an immersive engagement with another era, sparking many creative insights. The ancient charm of the old capital, combined with the purity and whimsy of anime, along with life's inspirations and sensations, melded the artistic expressions of East and West, ancient and modern, developing her unique creative style.Lei Xiaohan's wood carvings are fresh and endearing, filled with warm, gentle touches of hand-carved marks, and the soft paints reveal a warmly textured wood grain beneath. Her creations often feature seemingly sad, lonely, or confused children, accompanied by small animals or mythical creatures. These adorable creatures provide steadfast companionship and embrace, seemingly granting the children the power of warmth and stability to continue on their adventurous journeys.

Since 2019, Hsu Shuhan has started a series of works focused on female characters, using the girl and the rabbit as primary narrative symbols to discuss themes of women's self-reflection and being observed in contemporary society, hinting at the complex psychological and social phenomena related to women. Drawing inspiration from her personal experiences as a young woman of her generation, Hsu has focused her characters on adolescent girls, linking the biological aspects of pet rabbits to the societal constructs of female imagery, exploring how their forms carry people's desires for youth and beauty. Using the girl and the rabbit as projections of herself, whether it's through their clothing, the cotton scattered at their feet, lace stockings, cherries, and other tangible symbols, these elements convey her anxious thoughts. As she strides towards the unknown, Hsu sketches out an endless imagination around the sentiments of young girls.

Paolo PEDRONI
(European Institute of Design)
Paolo Pedroni was born in Brescia in 1983. His early works of art were created on the streets, including spray graffiti and street art on the walls of the suburbs of Brescia, while his canvas paintings are now exhibited and collected internationally.Graduating from the European Institute of Design in 2005, despite working in the field of design, he never forgot his innate passion for painting and drawing, which has made him one of the leading Italian artists in the Pop Surrealism movement. Pedroni's characters are childlike figures, surrounded by childhood objects, colorful and soft, described with the most sophisticated painting technique. The artist challenges himself and his abilities, working on increasingly larger formats, resulting in a composition filled to the brim with images, an "horror vacui" inspired by Murakami's style. Pedroni executes this with a simultaneously hyper-realistic, sugary, and extremely elaborate and refined technique.
