大家有没有定期体检的习惯呢
说到“体检”的英语表达
很多同学可能会直接翻译为
“body check”
其实这个说法是不地道的
正确的说法是——
01 check-up
比如
a routine check-up 例行体检
a regular check-up 定期检查
to go for/have a check-up 接受体检；进行体检
I had to go back for my check-up; they'd lost my X-rays.
我得回去再做一次体检。他们把我的X光片弄丢了。
02 physical examination
A physical examination is a preliminary to joining the army.
体格检查是参军的初步要求。
03 medical examination
Can my child be medically examined without my consent?
能不经我的同意就对我的孩子进行体检吗？
04 health check
I feel much more reassured when I've been for a health check.
体检之后我感到放心多了。

我们来看几个——
01 get in someone's hair
字面意思是“钻到某人头发里”
实际上就指“惹烦某人；激怒某人”
Susan was trying to prepare dinner, but her children were getting in her hair!
Susan的孩子们在她做饭的时候烦她。
02 all ears
洗耳恭听；全神贯注地听
She was all ears in class.
她全神贯注地听课。
03 sweet tooth
爱吃甜食，喜好甜食
Add more honey if you have a sweet tooth.
