QSI @ The World Scholar’s Cup
QSI International School of Chengdu is so proud of our stellar students! Two QSI Chengdu teams competed at the World Scholar’s Cup, Chengdu Regional Round. Our first team superstars won the Team Championship and placed second for debate in the Senior Division.
They competed against many bilingual and international schools from Chengdu and Xi'an and gave the competition a taste of the excellence that is part of the QSI Chengdu tradition. Congratulations to Daniel, Raymond, and Angelina, our gold medal team champions. We know you will excel during the global qualifying rounds this summer.
Our second team superstars, Ethan, Sean, and Fei, placed 8th overall and earned a gold medal in the “Barely Senior Scholars” category indicating their outstanding performances as secondary I students (the youngest allowed in senior competition). They also earned a place in the global qualifying round.
QSI’s curriculum prepares students for excellence in all areas of academics. We support the interests of our students and love to watch them outperform their peers. QSI Chengdu provides opportunities for students to grow to their potential in academics, athletics, and socially.
CDIS 20th Sichuan Science Fair Recap
Students nationwide participated in the 20th Sichuan Science Fair, hosted by Chengdu International School. As the only qualifying science fair for international students in China who want to compete in the global Regeneron "International Science and Engineering" (ISEF) Fair, we were honored for this chance to host about 115 participants and judges and over 100 visitors.
The event consisted of 72 participants, 55 projects, and 42 judges who came for the open viewing. The projects ranged from engineering, medicine, astronomy, AI, and robotics. They showcased the leading research among international students in China and "also invited the local school community to exchange ideas about science.
The top five projects from the Sichuan Science Fair were selected as finalists for the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF). The participants of these five projects will compete in the final ISEF in the US this May. Congratulations to the finalists, award winners, and thank you to all the participants, judges, volunteers, local schools, and the community who attended!
