ACAMIS Cross Country at Léman
Léman International School hosted the
ACAMIS Cross Country event from November 14 to 16, showcasing its expansive
campus. Over 130 athletes from 13 international schools across regions
including Hong Kong, Dalian, Shanghai, Zhuhai, Guangzhou, Suzhou, Nanjing,
Macau, and Chengdu participated in this exciting competition. The event
highlighted athleticism, teamwork, and sportsmanship as runners navigated the
challenging course, set against the scenic backdrop of Léman’s spacious
grounds. The ACAMIS Cross Country was not only a celebration of endurance and
competitive spirit but also an opportunity for students to connect across the
diverse international school community.
Pre-order Léman Charity Chocolate Advent Calendar Box
Léman International School Chengdu is thrilled to introduce the 2024 Charity Chocolate Advent Calendar Box, now available for pre-order! This festive calendar, a cherished Christmas tradition, offers a daily surprise of hand-picked chocolates to spread joy throughout the season. More importantly, all profits from this special advent calendar will be donated to Chengdu Hope Station, a charity dedicated to supporting orphaned and disabled children in China. Léman students have a long-standing relationship with this organization, contributing their time and efforts to bring love and warmth to those in need. This year's Charity Advent Calendar is a wonderful way to celebrate the festive season while giving back to the community.
How does one improve on excellence?
By having qualified, caring teachers who offer high-quality opportunities for students. During October and November, students at QSI Chengdu sat for PSAT/NMSQT test, helped organize and attended Fall Festival, participated in the Purple Division ACAMIS Volleyball tournament, and traveled to Yangshuo for Week without Walls.
Having an excellent school is a community
effort. Our teachers are well trained, caring, and push students to be
their best. They also encourage students to try new activities- from
organized sports to jazz band to climbing a rock wall. Engaging in
challenging activities outside of the classroom builds confidence and
resilience. It allows students to excel in new areas and test their
skills in a safe environment. This week on the WWW trip, 11-13yo
students took on many physical challenges, overcame fears, and reached
new heights- literally and figuratively. They developed stronger
friendships and learned how caring and patient their teachers can be.
Each one will return with new confidence and fond memories.
The
results of this care are also evident each day in class and on the
results of standardized tests. As our students mature, they can take on
challenging coursework that peers at other schools may not have the
opportunity to engage in. We utilize comprehensive testing to determine
the placement of all new students. Whether they need support to become
fluent in English, or have already mastered math skills, we are prepared
to offer individualized schedules to meet their diverse needs. Our
students achieve top results each year and are confident, kind, and well
spoken.
Our goal is for students to have a variety of
experiences that enrich their lives. Each year we reflect on the past,
build on our successes, and seek new opportunities. This models our
expectations for our students and is has been very successful. QSI
Chengdu, with amazing opportunities for learning and growing, is your
passport to excellence.
