To further enhance the academic exchanges among countries in the Asian region, promote research and conservation of Asian ornithology, and elevate the international status and influence of Asian ornithological organizations, we are happy to announce that the 2nd Asian Ornithological Conference 2024 (The AOC 2024) will take place during 14-17th November in Beijing, China. The conference is supported and promoted by the International Ornithologists' Union (IOU) and organized by the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, co-organized by the International Zoological Society, China Ornithological Society and the journal Avian Research. The chairman of the conference is Prof. Yue-Hua Sun, a researcher at the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
We welcome scientists and researchers in the field of ornithology and related areas from universities, research institutes, and scientific research units nationwide to participate in this academic event of Asian ornithology!

Registration is divided into early registration, normal registration, and on-site registration, with fees based on the payment date.
Note: The conference will provide financial support to delegates from third world countries. Applicants must register and submit their paper abstracts before August 1st for consideration by the Academic Committee. Please indicate the request for sponsorship when submitting the abstract.

Academic Presentation and Requirements:
The conference will feature plenary sessions, special topic sessions, roundtable discussions, and poster presentations as forms of academic exchange. Awards will be given for outstanding young presenter and outstanding poster. The deadline for abstract submission is August 15th. In addition to the confirmed topics, participants can organize related sessions by contacting the organizing committee.

The conveners of each special topic session and the Academic Committee of the conference will review the submitted abstracts and determine the list of oral presentations for the special topic sessions. We encourage all delegates to actively submit their contributions. Considering the limited time available for oral presentations, some delegates who have applied for oral presentations may be assigned to present their work in poster format. Delegates are kindly requested to log in to the website of the 2nd Asian Ornithological Conference to check the format of their submitted contributions.
The final schedule and topics of oral presentations will be specified in the official conference notification. Each oral presentation in the special topic sessions will be allocated 15 minutes (12 minutes for presentation and 3 minutes for questions). The standard size for posters is 90cm (width) × 120cm (height).
