Announcing a series of new appointments that underscore our commitment to design excellence, interdisciplinary skills and diverse talent across our global practice.

These appointments recognise leaders who play a critical role in delivering world-class projects and creating significant value for clients.

Spanning studios across Australia and China, the eight new Principals are Shanghai-based Minmin Long and Zoey Chen; Tanya Golitschenko and Liam Short from Brisbane; Melbourne-based Susie Quinton and Tam Dao; Ben Rees in Perth and Annabel Koeck in Sydney.

“These appointments highlight the vital contributions of our leaders in advancing our commitment to creating a better future through design and our broader purpose of creating places people love,” says Liz Westgarth, Managing Director of Hassell. “By investing in our people and elevating diverse perspectives, we are building a stronger, more innovative practice.”

The scale of internal promotions this year reflects the broad opportunities available within Hassell and the increasing need for diverse skill sets to achieve excellence. The new cohort includes expertise across landscape architecture, interior design, mixed-use architecture, complex urban transport, and sustainability.

“This diversity reflects our commitment to exceeding expectations and delivering excellence through a multifaceted approach,” says Liz. “We look forward to the continued success and innovation that our new leaders will bring to the practice.“

Hassell remains dedicated to creating a better future through thoughtful, inclusive, and impactful design.
