美国俄克拉荷马州立大学和新墨西哥州立大学电气与计算机工程学院招聘两名博士后,研究方向为1)能源与气候关系的模拟、运行和优化;2)人工智能和数字孪生在智能电网中的应用,欢迎申请。


PART 01
工作介绍
Two Immediate postdoctoral researcher positions are available in the Schools of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Oklahoma State University (OSU) and New Mexico State University (NMSU). The selected candidate will be actively involved in projects on 1) simulation, operation, and optimization of energy-climate nexus, 2) AI and digital twinning application in smart grids.

Applications are sought from candidates who hold a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with:

1. Experience and achievements in power and energy systems, data analytics, machine learning, optimization or control.

2. Outstanding academic track record and well-established analytical and problem-solving skills.

3. Strong English communication skills, enabling to contribute effectively to the preparation of research papers and deliver oral presentations at conferences and meetings.

  • Full-time; Two-year initial     employment and extendable     contract

  • Annual salary of about $ 60k dollars and     employee benefits.

  • One position based at OSU,     Stillwater,     U.S.     and the other position based at NMSU, Las Cruces, U.S. The selected     candidates will receive joint mentorship from Dr. Shi and Dr. Zhang,     supported by a collaborative grant.

导师介绍
Dr. Di Shi is an Associate Professor in the Klipsch School of ECE at NMSU. His recent research interests lie at the intersection of power systems and machine learning, wide-area monitoring systems and controls, and edge intelligence. He serves as an Associate Editor for IEEE Trans. on Power Systems and several other leading journals. He has authored over 180 publications and holds more than 40 U.S. patents and patent applications. His work has been recognized with 11 Best Paper Awards from premier journals and conferences, and he led his team to win the Championship of the 2019 Power System AI competition, L2RPN. He also founded a startup to productize and deploy AI-driven decision-making and control software at more than 15 grid dispatch centers.
Dr. Ying Zhang is an Assistant Professor in the School of ECE at OSU. Her research interests are rooted in power system situational awareness to develop grid-based interdisciplinary research overlapping climate change and data science. She received the National Scholarship for Highest Academic Distinction in China, the Frederick E. Terman Award for Graduate Students, and the 2023 IEEE Power and Energy Society Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award (one of four awardees for the Ph.D. students in power and energy systems who graduated in 2020-2022 worldwide). She has authored over 30 publications, including one Global ESI top 1% highly cited paper and two Best Papers and serves as the Secretary of the IEEE Task Force on Performance Evaluation of Distribution System State Estimation and Associate Editor for IET Generation, Transmission & Distribution.
