Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) is a governmental organization under the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, which is dedicated to promoting trade and investment between Japan and other countries in the world.
Japan's alcohol industry and culture is rich and colorful, covering a wide range of fields from traditional brewing techniques to modern innovations. Its development has been heavily influenced by historical events, technological innovations and social changes. The richness of the category demonstrates its long tradition and continuous innovation.
JETRO will bring 48 Japanese companies to create the Japanese official pavilion at the 33rd Interwine Guangzhou, displaying a large number of original Japanese liquors such as sake, shochu, umeshu, whisky, beer, liqueur and so on.
The wine industry of Tianshan Mountain North Region started in 1998, and after 25 years of development, it has become an important wine region with the largest planting base, the largest production capacity and high brand awareness in Xinjiang. By 2022, the wine grape planting area of Tianshan Mountain North Region has reached 110,000 mu. The annual production is 75,000 tons.
The Tianshan Mountain North Region has brought a number of local leading wine enterprises and wineries to the 33rd Interwine Guangzhou, showcasing the strengths of China's benchmark wine regions and introducing the rapidly rising Chinese wines to global buyers.
The liquor industry is a pillar industry in Guizhou Province. With the support of the government and associations, Guizhou is developing into the world's first-class production region of Baijiu. According to the relevant planning, by 2027, Guizhou province Baijiu production will reach 600,000 kiloliters, the output value exceeded 300 billion yuan.
In order to promote Guizhou baijiu brand and expand the international market, the Liquor Circulation Management Bureau of Guizhou Provincial Department of Commerce organized the “Guizhou Brand Baijiu” Pavilion with 18 Guizhou Baijiu enterprises to participate in the 33rd Interwine Guangzhou.
As a millennium baijiu city, Luzhou has a strong baijiu industry, with a number of Nongxiang & Jiangxiang baijiu leading enterprises. In 2023, Luzhou set the goal: "by 2025, the city's baijiu business revenue exceeded 150 billion yuan, striving for 200 billion yuan, with total profits reaching 30 billion yuan."
In order to support the development of liquor industry agglomeration in Luzhou, Luzhou Liquor Industry Association organized a group of local high-quality liquor enterprises to participate in the 33rd Interwine Guangzhou, to show the excellent products of Luzhou baijiu to professional visitors from home and abroad.
As the Hakka capital of the world, Meizhou is an important settlement of the Hakka people and an important birthplace of Mixiangxing Baijiu - one of the four basic aroma types of traditional Chinese Baijiu. At present, there are 384 liquor enterprises in Meizhou, with the number ranking first in the Guangdong province; Liquor production & output value ranked second in the province.
In order to improve the brand awareness and promote the Baijiu culture of Meizhou, the Meizhou Liquor Industry Association has organized a group of local baijiu enterprises to participate in the 33rd Interwine Guangzhou, and display the regional characteristics of Meizhou Baijiu products to professional visitors from the whole country as well as from all over the world.
The 33rd Interwine Guangzhou will bring together premium wineries from nearly 20 countries around the world, where visitors can make one-stop purchases of high-quality wine products from France, Italy, Australia, Chile, Spain, Portugal, China, the United States, Japan, Georgia, Slovenia, Russia, New Zealand, Argentina, Canada, North Macedonia, England and other countries/regions.
In terms of categories, this edition of Interwine will exhibit a wide range of red/white/sparkling wine, cognac/brandy, whisky, vodka, sake, shochu, beer, fruit wine, liqueur, pisco and other alocoholic drinks, providing visitors with a wide range of selection.
Baijiu is China's traditional spirits category, carrying a heavy historical heritage, integrated into every aspect of Chinese people's dining and social life. In recent years, "going abroad and sailing overseas" has become an important trend for Chinese Baijiu brands. The Baijiu producing regions and enterprises actively explore the broad international market, spread the culture of Chinese Baijiu, so that more foreign consumers can recognize Baijiu, try Baijiu, and even fall in love with Baijiu.
The 33rd Interwine Guangzhou will exhibit a number of traditional and innovative aromas of Chinese Baijiu such as Jiangxiang, Nongxiang, Qingxiang, Mixiang, Chixiang, Maixiang and others, as well as a number of famous Baijiu-producing region pavilions, providing global visitors with a chince to taste the charm of traditional Chinese liquor.
As the top-selling spirits category worldwide, whisky has successfully taken root and entered the daily consumption of the public in China, and is especially favored by young consumers with middle to high incomes.
The 33rd Interwine Guangzhou will exhibit whisky products from Scotland, Ireland, Japan, Australia and other countries/regions, helping whisky brands connect with Guangdong and Greater Bay Area, China's largest whisky market.
