喜探究、“维”成长 Exploration and Growth

尊敬的各位家长朋友们：

随着2023-2024学年的圆满结束，我们一同走过了一个充满收获的学期。我谨代表学校，向大家报告我们维多利亚集团这一年的成就与进展。

华东地区的成就

维多利亚集团即将迈向六十周年，华东地区的六所维多利亚幼儿园陆续启动了Homecoming校友返校活动。我看到各园小朋友们合力创作绘本《幼儿园来了新朋友》，很受孩子们的喜欢。同时，维多利亚公益灯塔书房正式在徐汇万科广场向社会开放了，欢迎家长朋友们前往参观打卡。

华南地区的发展

这学期由于一些天气导致的不可抗力因素，我们未能在本学期开展“强悍泥人”运动会。学校已与合作方完成改期洽谈，期待在秋高气爽的11月17日，与大家一起迎接更多精彩的挑战，也感谢各位家长对我们学校的理解和支持。

下学期我们将集合深港两地五园的力量，在深圳的四家幼儿园进行全新的课程升级计划，包含EDUSPARK多元课程和Hong Kong Stepping Up Curriculum港人升级课程。孔校长希望，我们一起努力可以让孩子们享受更好更优质的课程，在学校里全面发展学习，在课外可以自由玩耍。同时，我们也在持续收集跟聆听家长的意见，为孩子们提供更优质的教育体验。

深圳第二十三届毕业典礼以和平为主题，在毕业典礼上，我们的创校校监丁毓珠太平绅士回顾了59年前创办了香港第一所一师一语言的双语幼儿园历史，我们早教A+游学院的孔庆旸博士也从家庭的爱来阐释和平的意义，还有我们的校董吴嘉愉都谈到世界变化越来越快，嘱托孩子们用正念的心善待自己，善待他人。在此，我也希望我们的孩子们通过IB课程学习多种语言，可以更好地理解、尊重、欣赏和包容不同的文化。祝愿大班的孩子们在未来的道路上，继续秉持多元文化的精神，拥抱和平。

集团活动与新学期展望

我们在本学期组织了五一云南公益研学之旅，开展“维之阅读”项目，我们看到孩子们在亲身参与中，对于公益慈善事业有更为切身的体验和感受，这对于培养他们的爱心有极大的益处。此外，维多利亚家长的“时习学院”已正式成立，已开始联手家长和教育专家，共同学习前沿、科学的养育方式，为孩子们的成长提供更加坚实的支持和帮助。

在即将到来的2024-2025学年，我们满怀期待，希望能与大家共同体验更多有趣的探究课程，共建美好的回忆。

Dear Parents,

As the 2023-2024 academic year draws to a close, we find ourselves reflecting on a semester rich with remarkable achievements. It is with great pleasure that I share with you the significant accomplishments and strides we have made over the past year.

Achievements in East China

Firstly, our six kindergartens in East China have successfully launched homecoming alumni events in celebration of our 60th anniversary. These events have not only infused our campuses with a festive atmosphere but also strengthened the bond between alumni and their alma mater, making everyone feel the warmth of returning home. The children across our kindergartens collaboratively created the picture book "A New Friend Comes to Kindergarten," which has been enthusiastically received by the children. This book showcases the rich imagination of our Victoria kindergarteners and helps us better understand and appreciate our children. Additionally, illuminate the lighthouse: Victoria Public Welfare officially opened to the public at Xuhui Vanke Plaza, earning widespread acclaim and welcome from the community.

Development in South China

In the rapidly developing Greater Bay Area, our four kindergartens in South China, led by the Futian campus, have successfully launched the Hong Kong Stepping Up Curriculum. This program has been highly recognized by parents and warmly welcomed by the children. Although due to unforeseen weather conditions, we were unable to hold the much-anticipated Tough Mudder event this semester, we are fully prepared and look forward to welcoming more exciting challenges with you on November 17th. We deeply appreciate the understanding and support from parents and children regarding this adjustment. Looking ahead to the autumn semester, we plan to unite the five campuses in Shenzhen and Hong Kong to introduce the diverse EDUSPARK curriculum and the Hong Kong Stepping Up Curriculum, aiming to provide children with a richer and more quality educational experience.

During the 23rd Graduation Ceremony in Shenzhen, Ms. Christina Ting Yuk Chee, Supervisor of Victoria (China) Education Group and appointed Justice of the Peace, warmly reminisced about the bold innovation from 59 years ago when she founded Hong Kong's first bilingual kindergarten with a one-teacher-one-language model. She congratulated the children on their upcoming transition to primary school and encouraged them to continue embracing multiculturalism and peace in their future endeavors.

Dr. Maggie Koong, Chief Principal of Victoria (China) Education Group and appointed Justice of the Peace, emphasized that language is a bridge between cultures. By learning multiple languages and introducing the IB programme, we can better understand, respect, appreciate, and embrace different cultures. Dr. Victor Koong, Board Director of Victoria (China) Education Group and founder of A+ Eduplay, emphasized the importance of understanding peace through the lens of family love. Board Director Ms. Melanie Ng discussed the rapid changes in the world and advised the children to treat themselves and others with mindfulness and kindness.

Group Activities and Future Prospects

Our group's "Reading with Victoria" project organized a charity study tour to Yunnan during the May Day holiday, extending love beyond donations and allowing children to feel the warmth and strength of companionship through personal participation. Moreover, the official establishment of the Victoria Parent Club will bring together parents and educational experts to learn advanced, scientific parenting methods, providing stronger support and assistance for our children's growth.

As we approach the 2024-2025 academic year, we are filled with anticipation and look forward to experiencing more engaging inquiry-based courses with everyone, creating beautiful memories together.

Thank you all for your hard work and support over the past year. It is because of you that we can continually make progress and achieve such proud accomplishments. I wish everyone a joyful and fulfilling summer break, and I look forward to seeing you in the new semester!
