吉林珲春是东北虎豹国家公园的核心区域。近日，巡护员在村庄附近的山林中巡查时，意外发现了一只距离仅几十米的东北虎。能够正面遇见东北虎、东北豹的几率并不高，因为它们的听觉、嗅觉都极其灵敏，通常会避开人类，但清晨和傍晚它们较为活跃，偶有不期而遇。为保障安全，公园通过围栏隔离区域并利用监测系统预警，避免人与猛兽直接接触。
In Hunchun City, northeast China's Jilin Province, a ranger patrolling near a village in the Northeast China Tiger and Leopard National Park recently spotted a Siberian tiger just meters away.
