Taoxichuan Art Center Lecture invited Artist-in-ResidenceChris Onaivi Ekuafehto present a lecture on the theme of "Next of Kiln" at 19:30 on Wednesday, 8th January 2025 at the Taoxichuan S3 Multi-media Room(2nd floor）.
在讲座中，Chris Onaivi Ekuafeh 将介绍他的艺术旅程，这个路程扎根于他丰富的尼日利亚文化遗产，同时也受到多元文化的熏陶。讲座探讨了他从轮制陶艺转向手捏陶艺的过程，最终形成了“窑旁”系列——这一系列反映了人类在多样性中的统一。他还将讲述在景德镇驻地的转型经历，其文化背景催生出新的陶艺叙事。Chris 着重阐述艺术在跨文化交流、联结人类及促进团结上的作用，呈现出坚韧与创造交织的故事。
In the lecture, Chris Onaivi Ekuafeh will introduce his artistic journey, which is rooted in his rich Nigerian cultural heritage and also influenced by multiculturalism. The lecture will explore his transition from wheel-thrown pottery to hand-built pottery, ultimately leading to the "Next of Kiln" series - a collection that reflects the unity of humanity in diversity. He will also share his transformative experience during his residency in Jingdezhen, where his cultural background gave rise to new narratives in pottery. Chris will emphasize the role of art in cross-cultural communication, connecting people, and promoting unity, presenting a story interwoven with resilience and creativity.

Chris Onaivi Ekuafeh
Chris Onaivi Ekuafeh 毕业于扎里亚的艾哈迈杜-贝洛大学工业设计系。1981 年 9 月 19 日出生于卡诺州，目前作为全职艺术家在尼日利亚拉各斯州生活和从事艺术创作。他曾参加过各种展览，其作品被公共和私人收藏。

Taoxichuan Art Center Lecture invited Artist-in-ResidenceYouhua Liangto present a lecture on the theme of "Monster of the Abyss" at 19:30 on Wednesday, 8th January 2025 at the Taoxichuan S3 Multi-media Room(2nd floor）.
在本次讲座中，艺术家将主要提供创作者在创作时所思考的核心问题：陶瓷和泥土。他将以介绍过往经历的方式介绍创作历程以及事件来叙述他在过去的时间中经历的思考转变以及模式转变，并列举某单一系列的创作论述做为作品的介绍。
In this lecture, the artist will mainly present the core issues that the creator considers during the creative process: ceramics and clay. He will introduce his creative journey and events by sharing his past experiences, and describe the changes in his thinking and patterns over the past period of time. He will also list a single series of creative discussions as an introduction to the works.
