SMART Talks on Climate Change Essay Competition

2024

“What is a natural climate solution that you've noticed in your own personal context? (Or one you've known about during this speaker series that is potentially relevant to your personal context and environment.) How might implementation of this solution at the local level have an impact on the global level?”

Submit an essay on the above topic. Each submission should be limited to no more than 800 words in English (excl. abstract, bibliography, and footnotes). Note that longer does not mean better. If you can communicate it effectively in 500 words, that’s better than 800 words. Submissions need to attribute ideas and sources accurately, whether in APA, MLA, Chicago, or Harvard referencing styles. The use of generative AI tools must be disclosed, and the participants shall be responsible for independently verifying the legality and compliance of the content generated by such tools.
