Kyrgyzstan has introduced a visa-free regime for organized tourist groups from China, allowing stays of up to 21 days. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Edil Baisalov made the announcement during discussions with the Vice Chairman of the All-China Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Shen Yueyue, as part of the 11th China-Central Asia Cooperation Forum.

The two leaders explored expanding bilateral cooperation in trade, economic development, culture, and international collaboration. Baisalov emphasized that, under the direction of the national leaders of Kyrgyzstan and China, the partnership between the two countries is advancing. He noted the visa-free initiative is a strategic step to boost tourism and public diplomacy, tapping into China’s immense tourism market.
In addition to the visa update, Baisalov highlighted ongoing joint projects with China, including ventures in infrastructure, energy, industry, and education. The “Lu Ban Workshop,” a vocational training program recently launched at the I. Razzakov Kyrgyz State Polytechnic University, exemplifies the countries' successful cooperation.

Shen Yueyue expressed China’s commitment to strengthening ties with Kyrgyzstan and thanked Kyrgyz officials for their support of Chinese initiatives.
In a separate meeting, Baisalov discussed regional cooperation with Li Yifei, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. The officials emphasized the growing sister city relations between Chui Region and Ningxia Hui, as well as between Bishkek and Yinchuan, with both sides keen on future interregional projects.
During his visit, Baisalov toured several high-tech agricultural and industrial facilities, focusing on advancements in hydrogen production and infrastructure.
