About this position
Research Area: Discrete Optimization (including Approximation Algorithms, Scheduling, Network Optimization, Computational Discrete Optimization, Facility Location, and other areas of Discrete Optimization and Network Algorithms)
Supervisor: Professor Igor Averbakh
Department: Department of Management, University of Toronto Scarborough
Location: University of Toronto Scarborough, Canada
Salary: $4,200 CAD per month
Contract Duration: Initial contract for 6-12 months with potential extension up to 2 years
Work Hours:
Full-time postdoctoral fellows work 40 hours per week. However, flexibility may be required depending on the research and training needs.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for postdoctoral researchers interested in advancing research in discrete optimization, under the guidance of a leading expert in the field.
Requirement
Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics/Applied Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research/Management, or a related field.
Strong candidates from all areas of Discrete Optimization and Network Algorithms will be considered.
Applicants must be within 5 years of their Ph.D. or close to completing their Ph.D.
