Professor Benjamin F. Cravatt III is a leading figure in the field of chemical biology and is regarded as one of the pioneers of Activity-based Protein Profiling (ABPP) technology. He has made outstanding contributions to the study of protein function, human physiology, and disease mechanisms. By focusing on the discovery of novel therapeutic targets and drug candidates, Professor Cravatt has made substantial contributions to the field of drug discovery. Due to his exceptional scientific achievements, Professor Cravatt has been elected to the National Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Medicine, and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He has received prestigious international awards, including the 2022 Wolf Prize in Chemistry. Professor Cravatt’s research combines chemistry and biology to develop powerful tools like ABPP, which has revolutionized the discovery of small molecule inhibitors and ligands, having a profound impact on research in the nervous system and cancer. He holds the Gilula Chair in Chemical Biology and is one of the leading scientists in the field of global proteomics.

Professor Junying Yuan, a molecular biologist, is a foreign member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and the National Academy of Sciences. She is one of the pioneers in the field of cell death research, with a focus on the molecular regulation of cell death mechanisms, particularly their implications for cancer and neurodegenerative diseases. Professor Yuan discovered the first cell death gene, which laid the foundation for apoptosis research. She introduced the concept of necroptosis, which challenged the traditional understanding of necrosis and revealed the crucial role of RIPK1 in this process. Her groundbreaking research has not only advanced the fields of cancer and neurodegenerative diseases but has also provided new perspectives for novel therapeutic strategies. Professor Yuan is a global leader in the field of cell death mechanisms, and her work has profoundly impacted scientific progress and therapeutic strategies in this area.

We will provide transportation services between the Sanya Phoenix Airport and Thousand Cranes Sanya Yazhou Bay Int'l Exchange Centre on the day of check-in (8:00-20:00, Dec. 15) and check-out (6:00-18:00, Dec. 19), as well as to and from the hotel and venue during the conference period. For specific pick-up and drop-off times, please refer to the conference manual.

Taxi
If you travel by yourself, the most convenient transportation is to take a taxi from the airport to the address of your accommodation. It will cost you around 100 RMB and 30 minutes (depending on the traffic) for the whole ride.
Please remember to ask the driver for the receipt in case you need to get in touch with the driver or with the taxi company.

• If you stay at Thousand Cranes Sanya Yazhou Bay Int'l Exchange Centre, please get off at YaZhouWan-YiHao Station, and then change to a 7-minute walk to the Hotel.
The Bus 409 fare is 6 CNY. It operates from 5:40 to 19:40, with a departure every half an hour.
