24 for ‘24 is a series showcasing 24 of Beijing’s best places to drink, eat, and relax in 2024, to help folks get out of the house and into all these great F&B spots around the city.

A sister restaurant to the renowned Georgia’s Feast, Turkish Feast has been offering high quality authentic Turkish food in the capital since it opened back in 2019 inside JinShang Yuan. Last year they also opened up a second branch in Huamao and they will soon be opening a third location – but more on that later.

Turkish Feast's chef Recep Iskanderov is a true master at cooking Turkish cuisine

The most important part of Turkish Feast is, of course, the food! Turkish Feast’s menu has been carefully crafted by their talented chef Recep Iskanderov. A native of Azerbaijan, Iskanderov is an award winning chef with over five years experience training in the kitchens of Turkey, making him a true maestro of Turkish cuisine.

They serve a variety of traditional and more eclectic dishes, plus they have a range of daily half price deals on many items which are definitely worth snapping up! Turkish Feast was also recently awarded a spot on the Dianping Must-Eat List, the only Turkish restaurant in Beijing to make the list. What’s more, they will soon be releasing a brand new menu and we can’t wait to see what new dishes they have in store for us, but for now let’s explore some of their signature dishes…

The adana and chicken kebabs are half price on Mondays

There is no better place to start than with a look at Turkish Feast’s most famous dish: kebabs. A personal favorite of ours has to be the Adana Kebab (RMB 98) which consists of a brochette of minced beef and lamb infused with a blend of Turkish herbs and spices, it’s beautifully soft with just the right balance of heat. Other kebabs available are the Lamb Shish Kebab (RMB 98), Beef Shish Kebab (RMB 108), Chicken Shish Kebab (RMB 78) and the Pistachio Kebab (RMB 128) which is a blend of lamb and beef fillet sprinkled with crushed pistachios. All of the single kebabs come served with grilled tomatoes, peppers, basmati rice and a spicy tomato sauce for dipping the meat in.

The Feast Kebab Platter is a perfect sharing dish

If you want to try a few different kebabs they have a range of platters available for either one (RMB 118), two (RMB 198) or four (RMB 358) people which include the beef, adana and chicken kebabs. For larger (or hungrier) groups they have the Feast Kebab Platter (RMB 588) which has lamb, beef, adana and chicken kebabs plus four pieces of char-grilled lamb chops. They also run a special half price deal on kebabs every Monday

The Testi Beef Kebab Guvec is served tableside

Turning to other meaty offerings, their Testi Beef Kebab Guvec (RMB 168) is a must order. A Turkish stew made from beef, tomatoes, bell peppers and garlic it’s slow cooked in a clay pot with a flatbread lid and then, for some added flare, served aflame tableside to make one show stopper of a dish! It isn’t just the presentation that’s impressive but the taste too, with each mouthful absolutely bursting with flavor.

The Ottoman Style Lamb with Bulgur Pilaf id beauitfully tender and juic

Another meaty must try dish is the Ottoman Style Lamb with Bulgur Pilaf (RMB 138). Featuring a slow cooked lamb leg, the meat is so soft and tender it just falls off the bone. Or there is the Beyti Special (RMB 108) which sees an adana kebab wrapped in fluffy flatbread, sliced into small pieces of bread served with yogurt, grilled tomatoes and chili peppers and all finished with a scattering of crushed pistachios. Plus you can enjoy this dish for half price every Thursday as well!

Turkish Feast have a great range of mezze plates to choose from

Moving away from the meat, a perfect accompaniment or starter to your meal has to be one of their various mezze dishes. They’ve got an impressive ten different mezze plates to choose from which are all priced at RMB 38 each or you can get your choice of three for RMB 98. Some of our personal recommendations would be the Cucumber Cacik, made from homemade yogurt, cucumber, garlic and fresh mint; the Turkish Babaganoush, which combines eggplant, bell peppers, tomato, salt and black pepper; or, the all time classic, Hummus, which blends Turkish chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice and olive oil.

Pide is often referred to as Turkish pizza

Lastly, we couldn’t talk about Turkish Feast without mentioning their Pide, which you can enjoy for half price on Tuesdays! A type of Turkish flatbread stuffed with a variety of toppings such as cheese, meat or vegetables, pide is often referred to as Turkish pizza. On the menu they have seven different pide to choose from veggie options like the Spinach and Feta Pide (RMB 78) which is stuffed with fresh spinach, mushrooms, feta, and mozzarella cheese; the meaty Kiymali Pide (RMB 88) filled with Australian minced meat, bell pepper, onion, garlic and parsley; or, if you want a bit of everything, the Mixed Pide (RMB 98) that is split into four different toppings: spinach, beef, cheese and kiymali

Now, we already mentioned the Half Price Kebabs on Mondays, Half Price Pide on Tuesdays and Half Price Beyati Special on Thursdays, but there are even more deals up for grabs! On Wednesdays you can get Half Price Turkish Style Grilled Dorado (normally priced RMB 138, pictured above) which sees a whole dorado grilled on their charcoal barbecue and then served with potatoes, arugula and half a lemon to squeeze over the top.

It isn’t just food deals they’ve got though! Every Friday from 8pm until 10pm they do Ladies Night where for only RMB 100 ladies can get free flow cocktails. Then on Friday and Saturday nights from 7pm until 9pm they put on a special Oriental Night with exotic belly dancing performances!

All of these daily deals are available at both their locations plus we have great news for those of you staying in Beijing over the Golden Week holiday! Turkish Feast will be operating its normal business hours throughout the holiday PLUS all of their usual daily deals will be available as well!

The bar at Turkish Feast's JinShang location is just stunning

Moving on to the restaurant themselves, both Turkish Feasts locations exude a warm and inviting ambiance, adorned with Turkish decor that includes intricate tile work, colorful lamps and decorative plates transporting you to the Grand Bazaar of Istanbul. At their JinShang branch, they even have a small shop area where you can nab yourself some Turkish souvenirs or treats to really complete the experience!

Turkish Feast's Huamao location is smaller than JinShang but just as beautiful

For those hoping to make the most of the last of the warm weather, they recently added a terrace area at their Jinshang location just up by the entrance to the complex. Enclosed by an array of plants and greenery with some chic decor it’s a lovely spot for a bit of al fresco dining. At their Huamao branch, they also have a terrace area out front that’s all decked out with wooden furniture giving the space a casual vibe.

The terrace at the Huamao branch is pefect for soaking in some autumn sunshine

Finally, as we mentioned earlier, Turkish Feast will be opening up a third restaurant in Beijing soon which will be located in the Wangfujing area in WF Central, the same mall that houses The Cheesecake Factory. It’s slated to open at the end of October and we’ll be sure to bring you all the juicy details once it’s up and running!
