A new week is upon us, and that means new things on the horizon. This week, we focus on three things you can learn, listen to, or eat.
Learn – TWOC New Issue Launch & Panel Discussion

Join TWOC at Timekeepers x Ball House on Dec 17 for a panel discussion on the current shape of the gaming industry in the country. Also, get your hands on their latest issue and get the chance to play Black Myth: Wukong live on-site.

Listen – T.S.O.L. Plays DDC
T.S.O.L. – aka The Sound of Liberty – is as OG punk as OG punk gets, having been formed in Los Angeles in 1979, right when hardcore punk was taking off. With bands like Black Flag as their contemporaries, T.S.O.L. has kept punk alive from the ‘80s onward, and now they’re bringing the punk spirit to Beijing. Catch the band in all their glory alongside fellow punk rockers Demerit, Pizza Face, and art rock outfit Roundeye.
T.S.O.L. is playing at Dusk Dawn Club on Fri, Dec 20, from 8pm onwards. Single early bird tickets are RMB 198, tickets at the door are RMB 228, and double tickets are RMB 368. You can book tickets by scanning the QR code on the poster. Read more here.

Eat – Side Street’s New Brisket “Burger”
We don’t know about you, but where I come from, anything stacked between two burger buns that isn’t a beef patty isn’t qualified to be called a burger and thus is called a sandwich. Nomenclature aside, though, Side Street has themselves a new burger: the Truffle Brisket Burger (RMB 108). This bad boy isn’t just your run of the mill brisket sandwich, though. The brisket gets smothered in melted Gouda, sautéed mushrooms, arugula, and truffled garlic mayo. It also comes with potato fries and a salad for good measure. Try it today at both Side Street locations.
