Winter is here, and that means one thing: it’s officially cheese fondue season – a time to shamelessly dip anything remotely edible into molten cheese without judgment. Here in Beijing, there are plenty of gooey and glorious options, whether you’re into Swiss classics, French flair, or a fondue with an Italian twist, there’s a pot of cheesy goodness waiting for you.
La Maison Lyonnaise
La Maison Lyonnaise’s All You Can Eat Cheese Fondue (RMB 188) on Wednesdays deal is back once again for winter. Made with a blend of cheeses like Gruyère and Emmental melted together with white wine and garlic it comes served with crusty bread, fresh vegetables and other nibbles to dip in the creamy, cheesy goodness. That's not the only cheesy offering they've got for the season though, they also have Camembert Roti (RMB 189, pictured below) which features baked AOC French Camembert with fresh, crusty bread and Racliflette (RMB 188) a fusion of raclette cheese and tartiflette – a casserole made with bacon, cheese and potato.
