Winter break is almost here, and for those looking to get their kids involved in some cool winter camps, check out these four camps.
Learn graphic designing, product designing, architecture, fashion designing, and digital media with a team of dedicated educators. This year, Ms. Jennifer Studio is organizing three fantastic camps that are designed with different focuses in mind.
No, this one isn’t a week-long ice cream party. This camp is designed to develop students’ visual communication skills and creative confidence. They gain the basic core skills to effectively create 2D and 3D designs as well as work on defining design problems, set design goals, and develop skills and patience in the problem-solving process.
This camp will be packed with stimulating creative challenges that focus on introducing middle school students to design thinking and fundamentals taught at Harvard Design Schools. Each day, students will complete 2D and 3D design projects that take them through India, Africa, Mexico, Japan, and Native America.
Students will create their own works to tell the story of a character traveling around the world. The first few days will focus on graphic and character design, helping students understand storytelling through visual arts. They’ll then choose a destination, design a scene, and create architectural models to showcase the region’s features. In the latter half of the camp, students will create handmade travel storybooks and a stop motion animation short film.
