On August 30, 2024, the General Administration of Customs of China issued Announcement No. 112 of 2024, announcing that from now on, the import of Tanzanian sunflower seed cakes that meet the relevant requirements will be allowed.
Sunflower seed cake in this announcement refers to the by-product of the oil separation of sunflower seeds grown in Tanzania by pressing and leaching.
Sunflower seed cakes exported to China shall come from processing enterprises approved and registered by the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China, and the processing enterprises are recommended to the Chinese side by the Tanzania Phytosanitary and Pesticide Administration Bureau under the Ministry of Agriculture of the United Republic of Tanzania. After the Chinese inspection or review is passed, it will be registered, published on the website of the General Administration of Customs of China and updated dynamically.
