“Plain District 素域”2024年的主题"流动幻念"可以被理解为去年"虚空折射"项目的延续，将实验的切入点从打破转换为创造。
"流动"意味着持续的调节和变化，充实并加强以"幻念"，即想象力，便合并为"流动幻念"，激发出不可预测的、不设限的和尚未被检测的艺术表达形式。
“Plain District 素域”可以在任何时间出现在任何地方 —— 不可预测、不设限、未被验证。
The Plain District 2024, themed Flux Fiction can be understood as a sequel to last year's Void Refraction project, switching its experimental Modus Operandi from the breaking to the making.
“The flux“ implies a flow of constant modulation and change, amplified and multiplied with “The fiction“, the imagination, merging into “Flux Fictions“, stimulating unpredictable, unstable, and untested manifestations of artistic expression.
The Plain District can appear at any place, at any time — Unpredictable, unstable, untested.

“Plain District 素域”2024年的三场活动，将为每个城市和阵容采用截然不同的策展方式，延伸“流动幻念”的主题：大理的“创造之势”，西安的“关联之圈”，广州的“自省之域”。
“自省之域"指的是创造独立的想象和虚构世界的创意实践。在艺术作品或音乐的创作过程中，艺术家们深潜到自己部分封闭的想象世界中，让创意表达无拘无束地肆意流淌。
“Plain District 素域”“自省之域”的演出阵容由来自中国、法国、德国和美国的艺术家组成，他们将在中国设备最完善的音乐演出场地之一为观众呈现独特的音乐演出之夜，带来极致的声音和情感体验。
For the three Plain District events in 2024, the main theme of Flux Fiction is expanded by a distinct curatorial approach for each city and lineup. "Ventures of Making" for Dali, "Circles of Interrelation" for Xi'an, and "Fields of Introspection" for Guangzhou.
"Fields of Introspection" refers to the creative practice of creating self-contained worlds of imagination and fiction. To produce artworks or music, artists deeply dive into their own and partially hermetically sealed realms of inventiveness, allowing for a radically free flow of creative expression.
The curated lineup of "Flux Fiction — Fields of Introspection" connects artists from China, France, Germany, and the USA, for a unique night of musical performances at one of China's best-equipped music venues, for an ultimate sonic and emotional experience.

领衔演出的 Greg Vezon，化名 VOLCAN，是一位横跨多领域的法国艺术家，也是“自省虚构世界”的创造者。2012年，从事绘画创作多年的他将创作重心转向音乐实践。作为一名电子音乐制作人和音乐录影带导演，他对人工智能生成技术有着独到的见解，并在音乐家和摄像师的工作之间找寻到了引人入胜的切入点。
Headlining Greg Vezon, under his alias VOLCAN, is a multidisciplinary French artist, and creator of introspective fictional worlds. After years of dedicating his creative output to myriads of drawings, he turned his focus to musical practice in 2012. As an electronic music composer and director, of music videos he takes a unique look at generative AI and offers a fascinating perspective between his work as a musician and videographer.

素域 Plain District 2024
在大理一座先驱设计半功能性建筑中献上首场演出后，“Plain District 素域”在西安以另一种新颖的形式进一步开创新局面，接着在北京的的旧工厂场地举办了一场惊喜活动，接下来即将在广州的光芒Enlightening闪亮登场。
3 场大型活动和 3 个俱乐部之夜之后，“Plain District 素域”将以 6 周内的第 7 场演出作为2024年的最终亮相。今年的设计围绕着LED屏幕展开，构成每场活动的核心视觉标识。装置根据不同场地的特点而进行扩展和改造，现在即将进驻广州市中心，赋予这场收官演出独特的个性。
After premiering its first installment in a semi-functional building of visionary-designed architectural fiction in Dali, breaking further ground with a second novelty format at Xi'an's SNCAP Concert Hall, and hosting a surprise event at a former factory in Beijing, the Plain District will emerge at Guangzhou's Enlightening.
3 main events, and 3 club nights later, and for the 7th time within 6 weeks, the Plain District invites for a final appearance in 2024. Central to this year's design is an installation of LED screen segments, forming the core visual identity for each enactment. Expanded and altered for each venue, this installation will now travel to downtown Guangzhou, to transform and enlighten the concluding event.

2024年的活动将邀请更多德国和国际电子音乐家、作曲家和艺术家参与，扩大与观众的艺术交流和接触，以全面传达电子音乐在德国文化景观中的意义、存在和关键地位，并在当代语境下将其呈现在中国。
这次的碰撞和交流的核心是一个横向的的导师项目，来自中国和定居在中国的艺术家与受邀的德国和国际艺术家在为期2-3天的工作坊情境中，探讨艺术概念、音乐制作、专业网络、演出以及更广泛的创意实践。

For the 2024 edition, artistic exchange and encounters with the audience are to be expanded through the increased presence of German, German-based and international electronic musicians, composers, and artists to comprehensively convey the meaning, presence, and anchoring of electronic music in Germany's cultural landscape and to present it in China in a contemporary context.
Central to the encounter and exchange is a cross-directional mentoring program in which Chinese and China-based artists work with the invited German-based and international artists in workshop scenarios over two to three days, on topics such as artistic concepts, music production, professional networking, performance, and broader aspects of creative practice.

The basis of the workshop program is the creative and personal exchange between artists from China, Germany, and beyond, embedding the principle of omnidirectional mentoring where every participant can act as a mentor. Following the spirit of the curatorial concept of Flux Fictions, the program touches on aspects from the emergence of ideas and visions to bringing them to the world.
Artistic fictions require courage and space for development and change. It is therefore all the more important to allow the invited artists to enter into a productive dialogue with local artists and audiences. The invited artists represent the work within electronic music culture as part of their life plans and hence a lifelong perspective, not as an experience or field of expression limited to a young generation.

在艺术家的思想与工作的进程中，战栗总是与创作如影随形 —— 打破、解构、破解和创造。这一过程的结果和一个个瞬间以艺术想象和实践的形式呈现出来。每件艺术作品、每种类型的表演最终都只是截取自某个创意概念的片段，作为一种传播媒介，使想法变得可见、可听或可触摸。
“Plain District 素域”来源于这样一种假想，一个不断变化和重建的矩阵——临时来到这个世界，从未妄想或意图去获得固定的最终形态。在一个想象的空间内，艺术性的音乐过程和幻象交汇，并在设计空间和音乐演出的对话中被经验和感知到。

In their thought and work processes, artists are subject to a permanent flow of shaking and making — breaking, deconstructing, cracking open, and creating. The results and snapshots of this process manifest themselves in the form of artistic vision and practice. Every work of art, every type of performance, is ultimately only an excerpt of a creative concept and serves as a means of transport to make an idea visible, audible, or tangible.
The Plain District originates from such fiction, as a matrix of constant change and renewal — a temporary coming into the world, without ever assuming or aiming for a fixed, final form. It is an imaginary space where artistic musical processes and visions converge and are made perceptible for being experienced in the dialogue of designed space and musical performance.
The field of electronic music remains open, constantly expanding, and in a state of permanent experimentation; a field that can potentially touch or enter into exchange with every other music genre and any form of musical and creative practice. It spans and causes an artistic and social network of physical and virtual qualities, passing through multitudes of parallel processes, incorporating and generating wide varieties of production and performance methods.
In a digitally dominated world in which it is no longer possible to distinguish between fiction and reality, the “fake” and the “real”, in which the subjective image of the world is perpetually generated at high-speed frame rates via media such as TikTok and shifts exponentially through the dynamic implementation of artificial intelligence, the experience of artistic and musical ideas in a physical space with social interaction is becoming as rare as it is valuable.

“Plain District 素域”是一个开放的非营利平台，专注于拓展电子音乐文化的边界，每年在中国的不同城市主办活动。
2024年的活动将以"流动幻念"为主题，开辟新的领域，在三个城市分别呈现三种新的模式，扩展这个根植于中国，同时具有国际化的格局的平台的创新能量和适应性。
在德国外交部、德国驻华大使馆以及德国驻成都和广州总领事馆的支持下，自2021年以来，“Plain District素域”一直致力于促进中国和国际电子音乐先锋人物与社区之间的创意对话和可持续文化交流。
The Plain District is an open non-profit platform focusing on the expanding spectrum of electronic music culture, hosting yearly events in altering cities across China.
The 2024 edition, themed Flux Fiction, is breaking raw ground, by presenting three novel formats in three cities, expanding the innovative power and adaptability of the project — an international format, ceased in China.
Supported by the German Federal Foreign Office in Berlin, the German Embassy in Beijing, and the German Consulates in Chengdu and Guangzhou, the Plain District has been fostering the creative dialogue and sustainable cultural exchange between electronic music protagonists and communities in China and internationally since 2021.
