In the robotics lab, Clarine and her team are deeply focused on discussing their robot arm project. The table is a mess, but the robot arm can accurately sort and organize the items as if it could predict the shape of each object—this is the smart scenario they aim to create. Together with three other students from the School of Robotics, they formed the "Intelligent Future" project group.
However, bringing this idea to life comes with its own technical challenges: How can the robot arm truly understand the shape of objects and the user's preferences to grasp accurately? To solve this problem, the team decided to seek help from the Innovation Factory, where they can leverage the resources and expert guidance to find the right data training methods, making their robot arm smarter and more practical.

What is the Innovation Factory?
The Innovation Factory, launched in February 2024 by XJTLU Entrepreneur College (Taicang) (XEC), is an innovation-driven ecosystem designed to help students turn their ideas into reality. As an essential part of XJTLU's 2.0 education model and syntegrative education approach, the Innovation Factory connects the entire campus's academic resources, industry mentors, and over 37 state-of-the-art laboratories. It provides students with a comprehensive support system encompassing innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology development.
At the Innovation Factory, students can not only leverage cutting-edge technology but also receive guidance and support from academic staff and industry leaders, enabling breakthroughs in technical innovation, rapid prototyping, and product development. Whether you're seeking new breakthroughs in academic research or aiming to realize your business dreams through technological innovation, the Innovation Factory offers the resources and tools to help you achieve your goals.

To meet and promote the needs of multidisciplinary projects, the Innovation Factory connects over 37 laboratories across the XEC campus, ensuring direct access to these facilities and lab spaces during project execution.
