• Recently, the 2024 edition of the Regulations of China State Railway Group Co., Ltd. on Railway Passenger Transport (hereinafter referred to as the Regulations) was released.

• Most remarkably, restrictions and deadlines for ticket changing have been eased – passengers can now reschedule their tickets bought within the advance-purchase period both before and after the train has departed on the day of the train's departure.

• The rescheduling fee is tiered based on the time of the change: a 5% fee is charged if the change is made more than 24 hours but less than 48 hours before departure; a 15% fee is charged if the change is made within 24 hours before departure; and a 40% is charged if the change is made after the train has departed.

• The Regulations also specify that passengers can obtain a reimbursement receipt at railway ticket office or via automatic ticket machines after purchasing, changing, or canceling and refunding tickets, but the receipt can be issued only once.
