• China has officially announced the 2025 holiday calendar, including some exciting changes!

Firstly, the number of public holidays for all citizens is increased by 2 days, namely Chinese New Year's Eve and May 2nd. With this addition, the Chinese New Year holiday will now be 4 days long (from Chinese New Year's Eve to the third day of the lunar new year), and the Labor Day holiday will be 2 days (May 1st and May 2nd).

• Secondly, the public holidays can be reasonably arranged to form longer breaks when combined with paid annual leave and other leave policies. Except in special circumstances, the consecutive working days before and after statutory holidays should generally not exceed 6 days.

=> With these changes, the total number of statutory public holidays for all citizens will increase from 11 days to 13 days.

• There are 7 Chinese holidays in China which are New Year's Day, Spring Festival, Qingming Festival (Tomb Sweeping Festival), Labor Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day.

• Please note that the major Holidays will have adjusted weekend work days before and/or after. Moreover, dates may be modified as official changes are announced
