2024年9月11日，BC国际课程部举办了新生家长会，出席本次家长会有上海闵行区协和双语教科学校校长李春燕女士、BC课程部校长Ms. Wereschuk，副校长Mr.Skytte，课程部主任彭润珍女士。
On September 11, 2024, BC program held a Parents' meeting for Pre BC and G10 students. Present at the meeting were Ms. Li Chunyan, Principal of SUIS， Ms. Wereschuk, Principal of BC program;; Mr.Skytte, Vice Principal of BC pogram; and Ms. Peng Runzhen, Director of BC program.

Mr.Skytte先做致辞，欢迎各位家长的到来，并对中外教的教师团队做了简要介绍；随后李春燕女士介绍了协和教科的校园文化和BC部的成绩及优势所在；Ms.Wereschuk接着对家长们详细阐述了BC课程部的课程设置、教学方式、评估方式、核心素养的培养等；最后Dr. Ted对学生的选课及升学规划方面，向在场的家长们一一做了介绍。在家长会结束后，家长们回到自己孩子的教室参加班会，和班主任也进行了积极的沟通。认真负责的班主任们，在校规校纪、仪容仪表、家校沟通、升学方向等各个方面，和家长们做了详细的交流。
Mr. Skytte started the conference with a speech welcoming the presence of the parents; Ms. Li followed up by introducing SUIS Jiaoke’s school culture and the grades along with the advantages of the BC program; Ms. Werschuk then explained the BC curriculum’s arrangements, method of teaching and grading, the cultivation of core qualities, etc. Lastly, Dr. Ted introduced the students' course selection and college planning to the parents. After the parents’ meeting, parents returned to their children's classrooms to participate in the class meeting and actively communicated with the homeroom teacher. Serious and responsible homeroom teachers have made detailed exchanges with parents in various aspects such as school rules and discipline, personal appearance, home-school communication, and the direction of study.

除了家长会，leadship12课程的同学在这一天还组织了年度的社团展活动，BC部23个社团一起亮相（足球队和篮球队需额外试训，故未参加本次社团展），有音乐社团、舞蹈社团、模拟联合国、烹饪社团、油画社团、CTB（China Think Big）等等。在风雨操场中，新生们流连在各个摊位前，和学长学姐热情地交流着，挑选着自己心仪的社团，为自己的高中生活增添更多的色彩！
In addition to the parents' meeting, the students of leadship12 also organized the annual club fair on this day, 23 clubs appeared together (the football and basketball teams needed try out, so they did not participate in this club fair). There are music clubs, K-pop clubs, Model United Nations, cooking clubs, painting clubs, CTB (China Think Big) and so on. In the covered area, the lower grade students communicate enthusiastically with the seniors, choose their favorite clubs, and add more color to their high school life!

今年我新加入了两个社团，一个是peer tutor社团，这个 社团能让我认识更多的人，获取志愿者时间；第二个则是cooking社团，这个社团最吸引我的是它很新奇，可以自己做出好吃的美食，所以我想要去尝试尝试。多参加社团活动，会有效地充实我的学习生活，增加个人趣味，培养人际关系，让我除了在学习上，还有其他方面得到成长。
I joined two new clubs, one is peer tutor club, which allows me to meet more people and get volunteer time. The second is the cooking club. What attracts me most about this club is that it is novel and you can make delicious food by yourself, so I want to try it. More participation in club activities will effectively enrich my study life, increase personal interest, cultivate interpersonal relationships, and allow me to grow in addition to study and other aspects.

今年我们K-pop社团招了11个新成员，非常开心能在这所学校遇到相同爱好并且可以一起组织跳舞的同学。作为学姐，我认为大家都很热爱舞蹈，态度上也都非常积极。希望新加入的成员们能够坚持来练习，互相尊重认真学舞。希望在未来，我们社团可以在跳舞的时候更加有默契，从而更高效排练并参与更多节目表演。
Our K-pop club recruited 11 new members this year, and we are very happy to meet students in this school who have the same hobbies and can organize dancing together. As a senior student, I think everyone loves dancing and has a very positive attitude. I hope the new members can continue to practice, respect each other and learn dance seriously. I hope that in the future, our club can have more tacit understanding when dancing, so as to rehearse more efficiently and participate in more performances.

I am new student and I joined the Model United Nations, because I think it is cool. It allows us to represent different countries, use our own and teams’ intelligence, and maximize our own interests. In the future, I want to get to know more people and improve my abilities in all aspects through our association and participating in MUN competitions.

My child has just transferred from the local stream to the BC program. After the introduction of the teacher and the principal, I feel that the school has given us a clear plan. This can also encourage children to adapt to different teaching systems and learning environments more quickly, and hopefully teachers can help students better envision their future learning paths.
