上周五，我校迎来了加拿大驻沪领事馆工作人员一行四人，来我校针对留学生申请加拿大签证的事项举办闭门会议。此外，参加此次会议的还有来自江浙沪38所拥有国际课程学校的67位升学指导老师。
Last Friday, we welcomed a group of staff from the Consulate General of Canada in Shanghai. They came to our school to hold a closed-door meeting on the matter of international students applying for Canadian visas. Sixty-seven counselors from thirty-eight schools with international courses in the Yangtze River Delta region also attended this meeting.
会议伊始，BC课程部中方课程主任彭老师致辞，欢迎加拿大驻沪大使馆工作人员的到来。随后,BC课程部校长Ms. W致欢迎辞，介绍了到场的大使馆工作人员，感谢他们在促进加拿大和上海学生的联系方面发挥的至关重要的作用，也感谢他们带来的信息对我们支持学生和家庭所带来的积极影响。
Ms. Peng, the International Director of the Chinese curriculum in the BC program, started the meeting and welcomed all participants. Subsequently, Ms. W, the principal of the BC program, gave a welcome speech. She introduced the embassy staff and welcomed them to the school. She also expressed her gratitude for the crucial role they played in promoting the connections between Canadian and Shanghai students, as well as for the positive impact that the information they brought had on our support for students and families.
会议上，领事馆工作人员首先对加拿大的大学教育、国际交流、校园学习生活等方面作了简要介绍，欢迎中国的学子们留学加拿大，感受不一样的精彩。在谈到留学签证政策的变化时，领事和移民项目经理说到：“加拿大每年接收大量留学生，中国留学生数量位居第二，现在签证政策有些新的变化，但我们仍然非常欢迎并鼓励中国学生留学加拿大。”最后，来自领事馆的加拿大移民、难民和公民部专员就现场升学指导老师们关于留学签证的问题做了详细解答。
At the meeting, the consulate staff first gave a brief introduction to aspects such as university education, international exchanges, and campus study and life in Canada. They welcomed Chinese students to study in Canada and experience its wonders. When talking about the changes in the study visa policies, she said "Canada receives a large number of international students every year, and the number of Chinese students ranks second. Now there are some new changes in the visa policies. We welcome and encourage Chinese students to study in Canada." Finally, the consulate gave detailed answers to the questions raised by all counselors.
