BIRMINGHAM CITY COUNCIL WELCOMES CULTURE AND MUSIC ENTHUSIASTS FROM CHINA
Dear Sir/Madam
On behalf of Birmingham City Council, I would like to offer a warm welcome to the students and their families travelling from China to Birmingham on 2- 12 August 2024. The occasion for the visit is the Birmingham International Music Academy music festival and summer school.
The visit promises a rich cultural experience for all participants, which in addition to the musical activities, will provide an opportunity for participants to explore the cultural assets our city has to offer. Examples of this include the Symphony Hall, Town Hall, museums and library.
Birmingham also has a fantastic network of canals which can be experienced by taking one of the many boat trips operating in the city. There is also a China Town close to the city centre where the city’s Hippodrome theatre and Birmingham Royal Ballet are located. Birmingham City Council House is located in Victoria Square and we would be delighted to show you the public area of the council house during your visit.
I hope you enjoy your stay in Birmingham and maybe even return for additional visits.

我谨代表伯明翰市议会， 热烈欢迎于8月2日至8月12日从中国前往伯明翰参加BIMA伯明翰国际音乐节及夏校的学生和家人。
这次访问将会为所有参与者提供丰富的文化体验，在音乐活动之外，还会为参与者提供探索我们城市文化资产的机会，例如交响音乐厅，市政厅，博物馆以及图书馆等。
伯明翰还有一个绝妙的运河网络，可以通过乘坐市里运营的众多游船来体验。接近市中心的地方，还有中国城，伯明翰竞技场剧院以及伯明翰皇家芭蕾舞团也位于这里。伯明翰市议会大厦位于维多利亚广场，我们很乐于在旅程期间带您参观议会大厦。
