From “Chang'an” evoking the poetic genes in Chinese cultural heritage to the “Ne Zha 2” series skillfully incorporating elements of the Sanxingdui culture, the stunning appearance of Chinese animated films is rooted in creators drawing inspiration and nourishment from the treasure trove of Chinese traditional culture while honing their ability to tell stories with new technologies.

"Chinese traditional culture is a huge treasure for animated film creation. Animated films need to integrate excellent Chinese traditional culture and present it in a youthful way," said Jiaozi, director of the “Ne Zha” series.

“中国传统文化是动画电影创作的一座巨大宝藏。动画电影需要结合中华优秀传统文化，更需要呈现出传统文化的年轻化表达。”《哪吒》系列电影导演饺子说。

Taking “Ne Zha 2” as an example, the film is based on Chinese traditional mythological stories, cleverly integrating Chinese cultural elements into its plot, visuals, and characters. Ne Zha’s costume design, Taiyi Zhenren’s magical tools, the architectural style of the underwater dragon palace, and the scene design of Kunlun Wonderland all highlight the unique charm of Chinese traditional culture.

以《哪吒2》为例，该电影以中国传统神话故事为蓝本，将中国传统文化元素巧妙地融入到剧情、画面和角色之中。哪吒的服饰造型、太乙真人的法宝、海底龙宫的建筑风格、昆仑仙境的场景设计等，处处都彰显出中国传统文化的独特魅力。

Gou Qiangshi, an associate professor at Chengdu University’s School of Film and Animation, believes that integrating classic Chinese aesthetic concepts into contemporary animated film creation, as seen in “Ne Zha” and “Chang'an”, opens up new possibilities and will drive the rise of more "national trend" animated films.

成都大学影视与动画学院副教授苟强诗认为，将经典的中华美学观念融入当代动画电影创作之中，《哪吒》《长安三万里》等开辟了新的可能性，也将带动更多“国潮”动画电影的兴起。

"Chinese literary classics are the biggest cultural IPs for animated films. New myths like Ne Zha and Yang Jian have already been adapted for the animated screen, but there are far more literary classics. The key is to creatively adapt these stories with modern narrative art, giving them new life," said Gou Qiangshi.

“中国文学经典是动画电影最大的文化IP。哪吒、杨戬等‘新神话’已搬上动画银幕，但文学经典远不止这些，关键是要用当代的叙事艺术创造性地改编经典故事，焕发新的生命力。” 苟强诗说。
