ClubFootball’s 2024 Summer Football Camps begin from next Tuesday, 25th! First to kick off are camps at ISB, with camps kicking off later too at BCIS, Dongfeng Park, and Olympic Forest Park!
In Shunyi, full-day camps run in the air-conditioned Dome at ISB from Tue-Fri through the Summer from June through to mid-August, with buses from Chaoyang making the camp accessible for all!
In Chaoyang, half-day and full-day camps run at BCIS in Shuangjing in August (pending school confirmation), with outdoor morning-only camps also running at Dongfeng Park and Olympic Forest Park in selected weeks. As with all ClubFootball programmes, all sessions are coached by ClubFootball’s qualified coaches from the UK.
Camps are open to boys and girls of all levels, and focus on developing both the footballer and the child using the English Football Association’s ‘4-Corner Model’. This means that sessions include games and activities designed to develop their social and psychological skills, as well as their football skills and game understanding!
In keeping with this Summer's festival of European Football in Germany, each of the 4 days has a daily theme from the world of European football, with players learning new skills, practicing them unopposed and then opposed, and then applying them in real match situations! Above all, camps make ‘the Beautiful Game’ fun! For full details, please see below.
ClubFootball 2024 Summer Football Camps Overview
The camp focuses on skills development, taught through fun holiday games and activities. Each day has a special theme based on one of Europe's footballing superpowers, from focussing on the 'Attacking flair' of France's Mbappe and Griezmann on Day 1 through to the 'Teamwork' of England's Kane, Rice and Bellingham on Day 4 (via Portugal and Spain on Day 2 & 3!)
Coaches ‘Introduce’ the day’s theme through a fun warm-up and technical activity where kids learn the theme's fundamental skills and techniques unopposed. Players then ‘Explore’ the theme in more detail in semi-opposed practices and learn to use the skills under pressure. In the last part of the session, players use their acquired skills to ‘Express’ themselves in a competitive environment with small-sided matchplay.
Over the week, the country-based curriculum progresses players from the individual skills required to win your 1v1 duels through to working with team-mates in small-sided 4v4 matches! Each day, players are encouraged to work together to achieve common objectives through a range of fun and creative games and holiday activities that make kids think on their feet, as per the club’s coaching philosophy (details below).
The curriculum is adapted according to the age and skills level of the players, and is designed to build skills and confidence as the week progresses. Practices change each week to keep players who attend multiple weeks engaged.
All ClubFootball programmes are aimed at developing the whole child as well as the junior footballer in a structured but friendly and fun environment. In addition to building a passion for football and developing on-the-pitch skills and knowledge, the principles of teamwork, sportsmanship and leadership are emphasized throughout.
