Registration for ClubFootball’s Spring weekend courses is now open!
Weekend courses run across the city with Saturday and Sunday options available and students can choose from both established venues and some brand new course options too! Newly-added for Spring are Sunday morning courses at CISB (Liangmaqiao) and ISB (Shunyi), and ISB is also the venue for Sunday morning Girls-only courses for Grades 1-6. Please see below for full course schedules.
All courses are taught by the club’s full-time professional coaches from the UK – watch out for profiles of new coaches Coach Luke and Coach Barry coming shortly too. Courses use the English FA’s ‘4-Corner Model’ which guarantees that sessions are prepared and delivered in a way that teaches players psychological and social skills as well as the technical, tactical and physical. For more on our coaching model, please see below, and new players keen to try out the programme or continuing players keen to meet the new coaches can contact us for a free tryout or open session too!
Players who already have the basic skills and are looking for team-training and regular competitive matches can get in touch now to try out for ClubFootball’s Junior League Teams – teams train midweek at ISB and CISB, and play matches every Sunday in the Beijing International Junior Football League (BIJFL). The league features around 100 local and international club and school teams, and gives players the chance to test their skills and develop each week by playing matches in a well-organised and developmental atmosphere.
ClubFootball Coaching Introduction
Established in August 2001, China ClubFootball (Wanguo Qunxing Zuqiu Julebu) is Beijing's first joint venture football club and runs football programmes for children and coach education courses for teachers and coaches in Beijing, Tianjin and beyond.
ClubFootball's Coaching & Development Programme offers boys and girls aged 3 to 18 the perfect platform to enjoy their football and develop their game. Everyone is welcome, from beginners to advanced players, and classes are coached by ClubFootball's qualified professional coaches from the UK & Europe. Classes are held in an English-language environment (with Chinese translation), giving students the chance to practice their English and develop confidence in their use of the language in a fun, social situation. Pre-Covid, ClubFootball coached over 3500 youngsters in Beijing & Tianjin, from Skills Courses through to competitive Teams for players who are serious about their football.

Coaching Philosophy
To create balanced sessions which develop the child as well as the footballer, ClubFootball coaches use the ‘4-Corner Model' as espoused by the English Football Association. This means that the course and each individual session is designed specifically to develop the Technical & Tactical, Physical, Psychological and Social areas. The graphic here shows the areas which will be incorporated during the course with the aim of your child's all-round holistic development, both as a footballer and as a healthy, active and confident young person.
ClubFootball follows the English FA's '4-Corner Model'

League Teams for Development Players (Level 2&3)
Players from Grade 1 upwards who already have the basic skills and are looking to train and play matches as a team can try out for a place on one of ClubFootball's League Teams.
League Teams train midweek at either CISB or ISB and participate each Sunday in the Beijing International Junior Football League (BIJFL). The league features around 100 international, local and school teams, and is played in a competitive but friendly environment. The emphasis is on development, and scores are not recorded in younger divisions. For ClubFootball teams in particular, we focus more on the long-term development of each player, and “playing in the right way" rather than short-term results.
