Students from Grade K upwards can register now for ClubFootball's season of midweek and weekend soccer programmes at ISB! The programme is open to boys and girls of all playing-levels and has options for all levels and schedules.
Midweek ASA’s and Saturday & Sunday courses are available for all, and players who already have the basic skills can try out for more advanced ClubFootball ISB ES Team sessions after school on Wednesdays, or to play for one of ClubFootball's League Teams which train midweek and play matches every weekend at ISB! New dedicated girls groups run on Sundays, and specialist goalkeeper coaching is also available for those keen to keep the ball out of the net!
At all levels, the programme teaches football in a fun and educational environment, using the English Football Association’s ‘4-Corner’ coaching model (more info below!). All sessions are coached by ClubFootball’s qualified full-time coaches from the UK and run on the fields and in the Dome at ISB. Established in August 2001, China ClubFootball (Wanguo Qunxing Zuqiu Julebu) is Beijing's first joint venture football club and runs football programmes for children and coach education courses for teachers and coaches in Beijing, Tianjin and beyond.
ClubFootball's Coaching & Development Programme offers boys and girls aged 3 to 18 the perfect platform to enjoy their football and develop their game. Everyone is welcome, from beginners to advanced players, and classes are coached by ClubFootball's qualified professional coaches from the UK & Europe. Classes are held in an English-language environment (with Chinese translation), giving students the chance to practice their English and develop confidence in their use of the language in a fun, social situation.
ClubFootball Coaches
ClubFootball's qualified UK coaches have experience of coaching youngsters at all levels, from grassroots to elite professional club academy level in countries across the world. All are passionate about providing a developmental footballing experience and helping youngsters enjoy their football and improve their skills.
The programme is aimed at developing the whole child as well as the junior footballer in a structured but friendly and fun environment. In addition to building a passion for football and developing on-the-pitch skills and knowledge, the principles of teamwork, sportsmanship and leadership are emphasized throughout.
To create balanced sessions which develop the child as well as the footballer, ClubFootball coaches use the ‘4-Corner Model' as espoused by the English Football Association. This means that the course and each individual session is designed specifically to develop the Technical & Tactical, Physical, Psychological and Social areas. The graphic here shows the areas which will be incorporated during the course with the aim of your child's all-round holistic development, both as a footballer and as a healthy, active and confident young person.

CF Midweek ASA & CF ISB ES Teams (Level 1 & 2)
ASA's run through the ISB's official ASA programme with options available every day from Monday to Friday. and players who already have the basic skills are welcome to try out for the CF ISB ES Teams, which train straight after school on Wednesdays in the Dome and play occasional friendly matches at weekends. For Spring, players can choose from an expanded schedule of options, plus a new goalkeeping ASA that runs for Grades 1-8 on Tuesdays. Sign up via the achool Activities Office for these programmes.
CF Saturday & NEW Sunday Courses (Level 1 & 2)
Weekend courses are managed by ClubFootball directly, and run on Saturdays and Sundays, with brand new girls sessions on Sundays for Spring. Full dates and schedules are below; new players are welcome to come for a free session to try the programme our before deciding whether to register, and an open session runs for the Sunday K/1 and girls programmes on Sunday 10th March. Fee note: fees above do not include uniform. All players must purchase a ClubFootball uniform (white Nike shirt, black CF shorts and socks, and shinpads) unless they have one already. Cost is 200 Rmb for youth sizes (up to 150cm) and 250 Rmb for men's sizes 155cm and bigger. Discounts are available for siblings and for players doing more than one course, and continuing players who invite a new player to join receive a discount of 10% as a thank you for helping out.
NEW Girls Programme
New girls sessions on Sundays are open to girls of all playing levels and run for Grades 1 to 6. Players are welcome to try out the programme at the free open session on 10th March. Pls scan below to book.
League Teams for Development Players (Level 3)
Players from Grade 1 upwards who already have the basic skills and are looking to train and play matches as a team can try out for a place on a ClubFootball League Team.
Teams train midweek at ISB and participate each Sunday in the Beijing International Junior Football League (BIJFL), with matches also at ISB. The league features around 100 international, local and school teams, and is played in a competitive but friendly environment. The emphasis is on development, and scores are not recorded in younger divisions. For ClubFootball teams in particular, we focus more on the long-term development of each player, and “playing in the right way" rather than short-term results. Please contact us asap for a tryout.
NEW Goalkeeper Courses
New for Spring 2024, goalkeeper sessions are managed by the club's qualified goalkeeping coaches, and open to keepers of all levels from Grades 2-8. Sessions teach the fundamentals of keeping, from handling techniques and positioning, to dsitribution and starting your team's attacks! Goalkeeping ASA runs on Tuesday afterschool, with a new Thursday course also available from 16:40-17:40. Players keen to try out the keeper sessions can register for an open goalkeeping session on Thursday 14th March from 16:40-17:40.
Spring 2024 Camps
Springbreak Camp runs from 2-5th April, and one-day camps run on both the 15th March (PD Day) and the 11/12th April (PT Conferences). Please watch this space for details, or scan below to contact us to receive camp info directly.
