Early Childhood: Musical Journeys and Joyful PerformancesOur youngest performers in Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and Grade 1 took the stage for their eagerly anticipated Winter Concerts, which centered on themes of friendship, seasonal change, and hope. Through delightful songs, playful choreography, and lively instrumentals, the students captivated their families and peers. They not only demonstrated perseverance in mastering their songs but also showcased confidence and openness during their performances.
Lower School: Sparking Passion and Collaboration in the ArtsAt SCIS Hongqiao, students brought their vibrant energy and enthusiasm to the stage in a concert that celebrated the importance of teamwork, positivity, and self-expression. Upper School: A Night of Musical Mastery and Artistic Innovation
The Upper School Music Showcase at SCIS Hongqiao was an unforgettable evening that highlighted the diverse musical talents of our students. Performances from the Orchestra, Choir, House Bands, and soloists not only showcased exceptional musical skills but also demonstrated the students' commitment. Each performance was a reflection of the students' hard work, and the evening as a whole celebrated the vibrant artistic spirit that thrives at SCIS.At SCIS Pudong, Winter Arts Night highlighted the diverse range of student expression across Design, Music, Visual Arts, and Theater. This dynamic event allowed students to share their artistic journeys and explain the processes behind their work, encouraging a deeper appreciation for the arts within our community. One standout moment was the high school production of She Kills Monsters, a thought-provoking exploration of identity, empowerment, and self-discovery. While the play included mature themes and strong language, its emotional depth captivated the audience, making it a powerful moment of the evening.
