Each year, our community comes alive with excitement as we celebrate the United Nations International Day of Peace. This isn’t just an event; it’s a vibrant tapestry woven with global awareness, empathy, and respect for the diverse identities that shape our community. This year’s theme, “Cultivating a Culture of Peace,” inspired us to explore these values through engaging activities involving students from Nursery to Grade 12 across our Hongqiao and Pudong campuses, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
From the moment the Parade of Nations started, our young representatives proudly displayed their colorful traditional attire, waving flags that represent their heritage. Each flag told a story, and every outfit was a testament to the rich backgrounds we share.
Creative expression took the spotlight as the little artists rolled up their sleeves for collaborative projects, allowing their imaginations to flow like a river of ideas. Together, they painted and crafted pieces that captured their visions for a peaceful world, transforming our classrooms into a gallery of hope and unity.
The stage came alive with energetic performances, as talented students showcased their skills through music and dance. It was a celebration of culture, a reminder that our differences can create something truly beautiful when woven together.
