FurryFriends is an animal rescue charity organization founded by rescuer Rose in 2016. Over the years, we have been actively rescuing and helping stray animals find loving forever homes, promoting responsible pet ownership online and offline, and helping stray animals around us whenever possible.
Every year, we rescue around 200 stray animals. Since our establishment, we have rescued over 1,430 animals, most of whom have been adopted into permanent homes, both domestically and internationally. Currently, we have around 200 animals under our daily care.
Our goal is to find loving homes for the rescued animals, instead of merely letting them survive at Maomao Jia, our shelter. We make every effort to help each animal find a home, but due to age, health conditions, breed, etc., nearly 200 animals have to live at Maomao Jia while waiting for adoption opportunities.
Rose and Phelix are the only two people caring for these animals daily. In addition, they shoulder numerous responsibilities, including rescuing animals, fundraising, organizing offline adoption events (nearly 200 events over the years), providing medical treatment and sterilization, handling adoption and foster processes, and more.
They work tirelessly from dawn till late at night, overextending themselves for years, exhausting their time, energy, money, and even health, all to help more stray animals change their fate.
Their days are spent under immense pressure, as Maomao Jia is constantly short of funds and supplies. Unable to hire help, they can only struggle on their own. However, they have never considered giving up because there are so many lives that still need their protection. Every cat or dog that finds a forever home and every life transformed after being rescued is their motivation to persevere.
Our daily expenses have been supported by debt, and to make matters worse, Maomao Jia is facing forced relocation. After several setbacks, Rose finally found a relatively independent location away from residential areas, providing a temporary haven for the animals. However, the rent, renovations (including fencing), and moving costs amount to a considerable sum. We hope to raise 500,000 yuan to enable a smooth relocation for the animals at the shelter.
With many hands making light work, we hope to raise awareness of the rescuers' plight through this platform and help build a peaceful harbor for the cats and dogs of Maomao Jia.
